Granted! You get hired as a commercial diver, making a hefty salary, but a few weeks into the job a malfunction with your equipment nearly kills you.

You are a conch shell! You are, however, no longer conch-scious, since a shell is not an animate, sentient, or sapient thing. You don't even have an actual snail living in yourself. Maybe someday a hermit crab will invest in you.
