Essix

Essix looked up at Dream with warmth in his eyes. "Did she ever teach you some of her knowledge of medicine?" he asked. "Maybe we can find the right herbs to help heal your wing." Essix shuddered when he felt blood trickling down the side of his head; he must have aggravated the wound on his head when he slipped in the river.

Ender

Darkness. Utter darkness. No matter where his head turned to look, his vision was always engulfed in pitch black emptiness. Ender wanted to screech, but no sound escaped him when he opened his beak. He suddenly felt warmth on his back, and turned to see a bright light a few wingspans away. Ender bounded to the light and and pounced at it, closing his eyes. When he opened them, he found himself in a different environment; a dense forest with lush grass and birdsong echoing throughout the trees. Ender sighed with relief, only to hear a muffled sqwack in the distance. Brother. Screeching, he hared toward the source of his brother's cry and eventually came into a clearing. Ender's eyes widened in horror at the sight that was presented to him; the grass was stained maroon and the distinctive metallic scent of blood flooded his nostrils. The clumps of bloody feathers on the ground made him gag. There was a thin trail of blood and grey feathers that lead his gaze to a small heap in the center of the clearing. Crying out in fear and shock, he dashed to the heap and collapsed next to his brother's weak dead body. He threw his head back to the sky and let out a screech of pure grief, tears streaming down his face. Why did you let me die? He heard his brother's voice whisper faintly in his ear. Why weren't you there for me?
Crying out in terror, Ender opened his eyes and sprang to his paws, panting heavily. He looked around wildly; no blood, no feathers, and no dead body. It was just a dream. He sighed, relieved that the nightmare was over.

Dream
She nodded a bit. "Aloe leaves." She said, looking up at him. She pulled her wing out from the water and shook some of the water off, then pinned his back to her side, looking back at him afterwards.

Venatrix
Venus stared at the water, the reflection of her face staring right back. You did nothing to stop them from killing your family, She thought, making her wings twitch and her claws grip the ground tighter, the wolves killed them all, and you did nothing. All you did was fly away! She closed her eyes before screaming at herself, "You did nothing!" Then she went silent again, keeping her eyes closed.

Essix

Essix wiped a few beads of blood from his head with his wing. "Do you know what they look like?" He looked to Dream for a response. "Do you know what the leaves smell like or feel like? Some description would be helpful."

Ender

Ender dug his talons into the soft ground when a scream tore though the air, making his ears ring. He groaned, shaking the noise from his head. Who in the world made that awful noise? He turned toward where the noise came from and tilted his head in curiosity. That sounded like a griffin in pain; but not physical pain... it's emotional pain. A smile curled across Ender's beak. Let's go check it out.

Dream
She nodded, getting up. "They are thin and green, and their kind of small. They also look like some sort of tentacle." She said, trying to describe them the best she could. She looked at him, before looking at the trees and bushes for anything like an aloe leaf.

Venatrix
She smacked the water with her claw and grabbed the ground tightly. The feathers and fur on her neck stuck straight up in anger, her tail swaying as she tried to calm down the best she could. She sighed, her feathers and fur straightening and her grip loosening, the ground looking like it was trying to be pulled out from the Earth.

Essix
Essix nodded and set off into a set of thick trees, keeping a watchful eye for these aloe leaves, and repeating their traits Dream described them as in his mind. Thin, green, small, and look somewhat like a tentacle. He kept his gaze on the grass ahead of him, and spotted something in the corner of his eye. Essix turned his head and spotted a small clump of green at the base of a large tree. I hope it's what I think it is, he thought.

Ender
Ender slithered up a tree trunk and proceeded to silently leap from tree branch to tree branch, occasionally spreading his wings for balance. A river eventually came into sight, and he crouched on a sturdy branch, his black feathers giving him great stealth. Ender narrowed his grey eyes and found himself peering at a griffin. I knew it. But a puzzled expression spread across his face when he studied it a little better. Wait a minute...
This strange creature was unlike anything he had ever seen; red marks streaked its whole body, making the griffin look like it had walked through a lake of blood. A dream catcher dangled from its neck, but Ender flinched when he noticed that it looked like it was made of bones. He was horrified to see that the griffin seemed to have multiple eyes; six, by the look of it. He wondered if one of them was staring at him at this moment. A chill ran down his spine; whatever reason this thing emitted that terrible noise, he did not want to find out. He scrambled down the tree trunk and bolted the opposite way, not caring how much noise he made.

I'm on my phone. .))

Dream looked at the plant Essix was looking as, and reached out a talon to move some leaves. For all she knows, it could be a snake.

Venatrix's pupils dilated, all of them, as she looked backward. She flew upward and followed the noises, scanning the area for anything. She saw something running below her, and darted downward.

Essix
Essix took a step sideways to watch Dream move the leaves when something caught his eye. He narrowed his eyes and gasped in horror when he saw a row of shining black scales hiding between the leaves. "Dream, look out!" He lunged as the snake lifted its head and curled its lips back, showing its possibly venomous fangs.

Ender
Ender's heart leaped into his throat when he heard the inevitable sound of wing beats behind him. Oh, no. He shut his eyes tight with fear. Ender saw the griffin up close, and he knew that he was probably going to die. He dared not to look back; he did not wish to see the creature that would soon tear him apart. But then a memory flashed in his mind; a memory of when Ender was young, peering from the bushes, tears running down his face. Blood stained the soft grass and soaked into the ground. A corpse lie in front of the young Ender. "I'm so sorry, brother," he whispered in a squeaky voice. "I wish I protected you."
Ender was thrown back to reality. His grey eyes narrowed and his breathing heavied into a snarl. I'm not going without a fight! Ender skidded to a halt and whipped around, growling. He lunged into the air, straight at the other griffin, screeching defiance. He spread his wings to make him look twice his normal size and spread his sharp talons, aiming for his opponent's eyes.

Dream

She jumped back and, without thinking, slammed her claws onto the snakes head, just in defence. She pulled her paw back quickly though and hissed back at the reptile.

Venatrix

Venatrix stopped and stared, unnammused. She spread her dream-catcher wings and smirked, falling downward into a bush. Her eyes scanned all the areas round her, making her constantly turn around or look up each time. The read markings glowed brightly as she flew back up, coming up from under the other griffin, her beak filled with small, yet razor sharp, fangs.

Essix
Essix lunged forward, butting Dream aside and away from the snake's reach and slammed his talons down on its long body, killing it in almost an instant. He lifted the dead snake in his beak and tossed it aside, its body sprawling in the grass. That'll be a nice surprise for the next person to come across this area, he thought, smirking. He looked back at the snake's hiding spot and peered at the leaves; he recognized the leaves immediately. "Aloe leaves!"

Ender
Ender stopped in midair, beating his wings and wildly looking around for his opponent. Where did it go? It was like the other griffin just disappeared.
A flash of red caught Ender's eye. Looking down, he barely had any time to react when he saw the griffin shooting straight towards him, its beak filled with razor-sharp teeth. Ender gasped and instinctively beat his wings hard, creating a small gust of wind and sending him backwards.
