you opened your eyes to reveal an unmistakable cabin roof; you also found yourself on a rather comfy yet firm mattress with a thin purple, magenta and white blanket laid neatly above your slowly rising and falling stomach. although in this new environment, you did not panic, could not panic, even. you felt restrained. like you were tied down with thick, leather braces that were permanently attached to the bed frame with titanium. trying to scream, you opened your mouth, but no sound came out. you were trying to panic, as it is a normal human attribute, but you were super-glued to the mattress. trying to move your head to the side, you mustered all your strength and succeeded easily, only to see a not sticky taped to a oak bedside table. it read;

do not panic, child. you are safe. as of now, this is the only safe haven for you, so do not be alarmed. you are not tied down in any shape or form, just rather- held down- for, er, scientific purposes. we will provide shelter, water, food and education for lots of lost beings such as yourself- in our dome. there is a post apocalyptic wasteland out there, outside the dome, and since the war no one has been out. sorry, did i not mention the war? as you know,
missiles were being tested in the year of 2017 - 5 years ago - and in 2019, the war started. in the beginning it was only two countries, and most had fled from said countries, into thought safe places such as australia, new zealand, and alaska. then the whole world had gotten involved by the year 2020. most did not see the light of day after that.
but, you have, in the year 2022! welcome home.
