Darth stepped back from the scene, if Anita killed Ren right now things would get tricky. But at the same time he didn't know how well she would listen to him.

"Anita ye attaken Ren, not I." To prove his point he turned back into his human form and help his arms somewhat out to the side. He hopped the rabbit nor the leopard would be attacking him again.

____________

Turning into a wolf was unreal, it was like seeing color for the first time. New extreme smells wafted into Ren's nose, leaving him confused and disoriented. He inhaled deeply, once he could breath again, just taking it all in. He was about to demand to know if what he was experiencing was normal when an odd smell wafted to him. It smelled like.. like.. he struggled to put a finger on it. Something like the smell of a warm bed on a cold night. No, that wasn't it, more like the smell of women's hair. His mind recalled kissing the neck of a lover. Before he was able to solidify the thought something hit him hard. He was pinned.

Anita, he could feel the leopard's clawed paws firmly holding him against the ground. Her demands to know where he was, her threat at the thought of him coming to harm just added to moment. She smelled brilliant, he couldn't help but close his eyes and relax.

"Kill me now if you want, nothing is going to top this moment." Opening his eyes he looked up at Anita, then before knowing what he was doing he licked the side of her leopard face. A big doggy slobbery lick of pure affection.

__________

Darth who had glanced a nod at Ray couldn't help but smile at Ren's affection."Easy lover boy, Pheromones be getting de best of yah." With that he moved closer incase Ren was to let the moment get the best of him. "Be careful Anita, he be a full grown male. Betta put em in place now." He said half jokingly. The wolf sense of smell was not to be taken lightly, and he worried that Ren would get to caught up in smell to use his brain. He then wondered if Ren had ever used his brain around women? Regardless Ren was a wolf, and wolfs responded well to being put in their place. Darth had no problem beating any lustful thoughts out of him, but was pretty sure Anita would beat him to it based off that lick.

Anita Belle Gunthner
Hearing Darth's voice behind her, Anita looked over as the man shifted back into his human form. Confusion swept over her. She returned her eyes to Ren, staring blankly at the wolf. How could this be? The last she remembered Ren was covered in the same spots she was. Now he was a wolf? Well he did have feathers growing on his neck before but both of those instances were when he slept beside a shifter. There was definitely not enough time for him to have slept by Darth.

Anita's thoughts were interrupted when a slobbery tongue wiped across her cheek. Her face instantly went sour. I hate dogs. she thought as she wiped the slobber off with the back of her paw. "Now you are only asking for it." Anita said, unimpressed by his actions.

Ren seemed to be in some sort of trance in that new form. When she heard Darth suggest to put Ren in his place, Anita wasn't exactly sure how canines did that but thought it wasn't a bad idea.

Pinning Ren's ear to the ground with her paw so he couldn't get up, Anita shifted her body so she hovered overtop of his body. She then sat down, ungracefully, once again trapping the wolf beneath her.

Anita glanced down at Ren, a death glare specially for the man was plastered on her face. Anita became silent. At least to Ren that was. Everyone knew when they crossed the line when Anita became silent, allowing her eyes to do all the talking.

Finally, Anita's mind went back to the problem; Ren was a wolf! She looked up at Darth and spoke as well as she could to the boy in his human form. With a purr like noise and a tail flick to Ren's head, Anita hoped Darth understood what she was trying to say; "What happened with him?"

With Anita's paw now holding him to the ground by his ears Ren began to focus on other smells. He sniffed the air rapidly, bringing in new and interesting smells with each inhale. With the heat of his fur coat and Anita's body he started to pant. This along with the overwhelming new world view, Ren soon found himself a drooling mess. He licked his jowls trying to keep from drooling all over his face. In doing to he flipped slobber all over. After doing so he began open mouth panting again.

His eyes dilated he looked around wildly pulling at his ears in an attempt to see things around him. His legs twitched at the thought of running around and smelling and seeing all there was to see. He wagged his tale wildly from time to time whenever something exciting came to mind.

Anita's death stare made Ren feel sad but didn't stop him from wanting to run around and jump on things. He began to wiggle to try and get away from her. Whimpering from time to time at the frustration, she was being so mean! Oh and that grass, I bet it tastes good! "I could jump into the river and get wet!!" Ren wagged his tail at the thought. "Swimming is fun." He then licked his lips again, sending slobber into the air.

Darth watched Anita and Ren, Ren wasn't handling being a wolf well. It was like he was 5 years old with the attention span of a 3 year old. His shear lack of caring what Anita was doing made Darth nervous. Ren was a strong personality, perhaps... No Ren could't be an Alpha? If he was an Alpha minded wolf it would be hard to get him to pay attention.

He noticed Anita look at him, her body language looked like she was expecting some kind of explanation. "What? Yeh know more den I."

Anita Belle Gunthner
Feeling a cold, wet liquid splat on her, Anita looked down in disgust as drool both sprayed and hung from Ren's mouth. She was so glad she wasn't part of the canine tribe. She wouldn't be able to handle the pups if she was queen there. Cats were so much cleaner and respectable. Although it could have just been Ren reacting to it and not what the usually pup would.

Her body bounced with every movement Ren made and she wanted to stand up but knew he would instantly run.

Hearing Darth respond to her, Anita sat puzzled. There was no logical explanation of what was going on. When Ren spoke, Anita's tail reacted again, swatting the wolf in the face. It did so again the second time he spoke.

Anita looked up at Darth, eyebrows furrowed and raised and let out a leopard meow as if to say, "Can we please let him run? Maybe into deep, fast water?" She was getting tired of his constant moving and wanted to let him get lost.

Then realizing Jharna was still around, Anita looked down at the rabbit. "You are a descendant of the water spirit. Do you know what is happening? Any ideas on how he can turn back to normal?"

      Shahar:
{The piercing caterwaul startled Shahar from her rest, shattering the fragile transition between sleep and wakefulness. She rose without pausing to contemplate her actions, casting the tent's thin material aside and stepping out to survey the situation. Not for the first time that night, her hand came to rest naturally on the dagger secured to her side. With a fluid movement she drew the familiar weapon from its sheath, emerald eyes scrutinizing the camp with deadly intent.

Shahar caught a fleeting glance of Ray as she disappeared into the forest, but chose not to immediately follow. Rather, she took another moment to thoroughly scan the nearby forest, taking note of Anita and Ren's absence all the while. There was, after all, little use rushing headlong into a possible ambush.

Satisfied that she was unable to identify any immediate threat, Shahar hastily trailed after Ray, slowing to a wary halt only as the others came to sight. Brushing past their second in command, she took a moment to appraise the situation with a raised eyebrow. Darth stood off to the side, and pinned beneath Anita... Was a wolf?

Sheathing her weapon, Shahar regarded the individuals wordlessly. Although she was pinning the creature, it was obvious Anita was doing her best not to harm while restraining him, meaning... Could that possibly be the prince? If it was, it seemed his condition has progressed more rapidly than any had predicted- raising far more questions than it answered.

Edit Finished!

Ren was vaguely aware of Shahar's approach. The world was beginning to spin again, his vision was getting more detail oriented and his sense of smell was fading slightly. The weight of Anita began to lessen and he was sure he would be able to stand if he wanted to. Looking down at his arms Ren noticed them growing, the fur, bone and muscle stretched and expanded. Before his eyes the black fur picked up golden hues, stripes began to twist attach and expand, forcing the black fur into patches. His snout shortened and long whiskers sprouted. Leopard fur...He was a leopard. The fur pattern matched almost identically to Anita's.

Being male he was a little larger then Anita now and able to shifter her off of him. Standing up, he felt her body slide away. The world still spun a little but he no longer felt the pull of smells around him. Instead he began to hyper focus on any movement or noise. Ears pricked and eyes wide he wiped around franticly trying to make sense of everything. An urge to hunt, pulled at his senses. Any little movement in the group heightened the temptation of digging his claws and teeth into flesh. His eyes focused on Shahar as she came to stop near the group. Instinctively Ren lowered his stance into that of a hunting position. Inching ever nearer to Shahar his eyes dilated and his ears pricked. Tension in his legs and back similar to a loaded spring readied his attack.

Jharna shifted from her rabbit ability. Here eyes looked wide and scared as the wolf that Anita had pinned to the ground began to shift into a leopard. Her mother had told her about Ren's punishment, but she hadn't realized it was this major. It would appear that he possessed the ability to copy the ability of the last shifter he touched. She hesitated to do anything, not knowing how well her magic would work on a Elemental Shifter.

His change into a leopard followed by the obvious intent to attack Shahar signaled action in Jharna, his wild behavior would be worse now that he was so large and could endanger everyone in the group. Her eyes fell onto the dark brown leather band around Ren's left hind leg. It clung just above his ankle and shimmers slightly with green and blue writing.

Ren had disobeyed orders years ago, his strong will had landed him into a heap of trouble that had almost ended his life, the details of which she knew little. As a last stitch attempt to keep him under control, the King and his high court had ruled to place a modified slaver band on the way-word prince. This act was kept highly secret, with only a handful of people knowing. As with most slavery bands Ren was highly protective of it and kept is as secret as possible. He was sworn but the rules of the band to protect it with his life.

Jharna knew the band was altered, and that it didn't do what normal bands did. She didn't know the premiss of the controls or how to activate them, but it was the best way she knew of stopping him from hurting himself or others. She had to give it a try. Quickly she pulled water from the stream, with a smooth motion she began to incircle Ren. The water spiraled around the leopard until creating a sphere around him, inclosing him from the world and lifting him off the ground. Slowly small flakes of golden color began to show in the water, they twisted and began to from the letter of the ancient language that was used for magic.

The water of the sphere was smooth and only the shifting of the glowing golden flakes shown movement. A figured could be seen inside, its movement slowed then stopped. A bright light began to show inside the bubble and as it did the leopard collapsed. The water lowered Ren to the ground, the golden flakes vanished when his body touched the earth again. Jharna then returned the water to the river in a continues stream, leaving Ren motionless and still in leopard form.

After the shock of Ren's behavior and Jharna's action Darth cautiously approached Ren's body. He observed the leopard for some time before figuring out how she had been able to render him unconscious. Slavery bands, he thought and shoot Jhanra a look of pure hatred. Darth who had been waring gloves and a long sleeve leather coat did not allow for skin to skin contact, the unknown source of Ren's ability, leaned over to pick up Ren. Darth noted Ren's size, it would be a challenge for anyone to move the creature. He also noted how he was the most likely to be able to return Ren to the camp, which was the best option for everyone. With great effort Darth hoisted Ren's body over his shoulders and made a beeline for camp, he was unsure of how long he would be able to cary the leopard or how long Ren would stay unconscious.

Jharna looked shaken and pale at the sight of Ren's motionless body.Darth's harsh expression triggered the flow of tears running down her face. Five years ago she had discovered Ren's slavery band, it had been during a training exercise. The band had been struck, damaging the spell. It threw Ren into a state of extreme defense as the band triggered a protective behavior and caused Ren to lashed out attempting to kill anyone within sight.

Grim had struggled to gain control over Ren long enough to fix the band. She remembered the look on Ren's face as Grim used his magic to hold the prince still long enough to work on the band. Pure hatred and aggression unlike his usually behavior, it was so foreign and strange to see him like that. When Grim removed the band Ren's face went blank. Gradually his eyes flickered back to life, then without warning Ren panicked. Attempting to flee, his efforts to escape was so extreme he drew blood pulling against the shackles. This left deep wounds around his wrists that to this day shown as scars, scars that he usually hid under gloves or wraps.

Instead of using magic to calm Ren, Grim talked to him, asked him to remember why this was happening. What was going on. This calmed the prince who grew pale and began to plea with Grim, hid did his best at attempting to barter with the man. Saying that he didn't want to return to the dark. Grim refused his plea. To which Ren asked how long it had been since he was last without the band. Grim hesitated to answer, sorrow filled the old mans eyes. Not releasing Ren, Grim took some time to talk to the prince. Ren's demeanor was desperate despite his attempts to stay calm, after Grim finished the repairs on the band. Ren's eyes and body filled with defeat, he lay limp against the restraints not raising his eyes to look at Grim as he approached. Once the band was re-applied Ren's body and mind seemed to re-boot. He looked around dazed. "What happened?" he asked. Grim explained he had been knocked out during battle. To which the event ended. The memory caused Jharna to slide down the tree she had been standing by and covered her face with her hands, she couldn't hold back her tears and they quickly began to make her body shake.

Once reaching camp Darth lay Ren near the fire and carefully placed a blanket over his body. Covering almost all of it before turning to Reza who had been woken by the commotion and looked confused. Darth pointed to Ren's left leg and added "He be wakin up sore. Better gettin ready now."

Ren's body, cold to the touch lay motionless under the blanket. The dark brown leather band with ancient writing that shimmered green was slowly changing to blue. The very print of the spells that were weaved into the band were changing, but no one was there to see the changes, yet. The magic tingled and upheaved the very workings of Ren's mind, as the water mage's magic took over the brace, Grim's magic faded. Memories that had been erased or altered were returning. What was unknown was how the spells would be changing, and what lay in store for the slavery band and Ren's freedom.

Reza looked pale and sick over Darth's gesture, but that didn't stop him from working to prepare a tea. Reza knew that Jharna must have used her magic to knock Ren out. He could tell from Darth's gesture that it had been down using the slavery band that Ren had been forced to wear for all these years. He knew far to much about the band, and was willing to explain what needed to be said, since Ren himself was unable to even acknowledge the band. Reza watched the approach of the rest of the group. His eyes serious he watched each person, waiting for their reactions and debating on how to answer any question.

Gale muttered in his sleep, the sound of fighting near the camp pulling him toward wakefulness, battle-tested instinct warring with exhaustion. When the noises subsided without any further summons from his element or his second, he relaxed into a deeper darkness.

---

Owen lifted his head to regard the blanket-covered form of the prince with a look divided equally between curiosity and concern. The form beneath the cloth was oddly shaped for one that was supposed to be human, but he had not been watching when Darth first arrived and was as yet unaware that Ren had transformed into a leopard.

"Reza, what's the matter with him?"

He couldn't scent any obvious wounds, much less the usual infection or disease that might cause a collapse.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say he'd been drained."

An elemental who had either exhausted his connection to the spirits or been stripped of the link was a rare case outside the triage tents where he'd done most of his early work. Fighters pushed to the limits of their strength reached farther and collapsed when there was nothing more to give. The stronger the elemental, the worse the disintegration.

Reza paused and eyed the group a little before looking back at Ren. "I don't know how much time I have to explain this." He said before retrieving cloth surgical warp and a sword from the pile of bags Ren had left it on. Reza, while clumps with a sword would at least have a hope if he needed to use it. He strapped the sword to his side then cautiously approached the leopard. After checking to see if Ren was still out cold he pulled Ren's left leg from under the blanket.

"As you may have noticed Ren has a slavery band on his left leg." Reza paused long enough to leg the group see the band before he began to wrap the surgical cloth around Ren's leg, hiding the band from view. "I have been told that it is heavily modified, thought I don't know what exactly that means, I do know a few things about it. Like all other slavery bands Ren has to protect it with his life, this includes not talking about it and stoping anyone from taking it off him. Unlike most slavery bands, Ren seems to have an "understanding" that it is to stay secret. He will attack to kill if anyone attempts to remove it, he will also attack to kill anyone who speaks of the band around him. This insures that if the secret gets out, it wont last for long."

"So what dose this mean for us?" Reza said after finishing covering the band. "It means that we don't speak of it while he is around or conscious. It also means that if that bandage falls off you can not look at his leg and have him notice you. I did see a lover live after noticing it once, so the defense mechanism isn't as strong if you just look but I would't tempt fait." Reza finished and stood up.

Looking at Owen he added. "There is a fail safe in the band that will knock him out for some period of time, someone must have triggered it." He then looked around the group with an eye brow raised as if to ask if there were any question.

Anita Belle Gunthner
The look on everyone's faces caused Anita to stop. What were they looking at? Then she felt it. Her body began to rise before sliding off of Ren. She landed on all four paws and turned around to see herself practically staring into a mirror.

Anita's eyes bulged. How? Was all that could be processed in her mind. She should have seen it coming. First showing the shifter flaws, then turning into a wolf. But she still couldn't believe her eyes.

Even when Ren was about to pounce on her sister, Anita still couldn't move. She stared off into nowhere, trying to get everything straight. The only thing that brought her back to reality was Ren being lifted into the air by Jharna's magic.

Anita watched in amazement as the magic did its thing on the leopard. She could barely see Ren through the water but could tell his struggle was lessening, soon causing him to become still.

Watching as Ren was brought back down to the ground, Anita looked over at Jharna, wondering what she had done. The look Darth gave her made it seem like she had done something against every belief anyone has ever held. From where she stood, Anita thought Jharna had helped everyone and saved them from a lot of trouble.

After Darth left with Ren over his shoulders, Anita looked over at Jharna before padding over to her and rubbing up against her. She was a really small girl, Anita noticed as she approached her. She hoped her body movements would at least comfort the girl in some way. She seemed to have had a pretty bad day with everyone on her case for everything and wanted to show the girl she was there for her. She guessed it was just instinct.

Anita always felt she was more of a motherly figure to the children of her tribe than a leader. She tended to drift towards the children more than the adults when out in the tribe and they usually looked up to her even more than others. She didn't even realize how much she meant to the kids most of the time. She seemed to need them as much as they needed her.

Anita followed the group back to the camp, pondering the possibilities of how the incident with Ren could be possible. If he touched Rachel...No. That couldn't even begin to be a possibility. The new people didn't know about her secret and they didn't need to know. Especially the female elemental. Anita needed to make sure Ren didn't touch her sister. If he was stronger even as a leopard, she didn't want to know how strong he would be as Rachel's feline form.

As they reached the camp, Anita came back to reality just in time to hear Reza explain the problem. Her head turned curiously at the mention of the slavery band. How had she not noticed that? Anita suddenly became frightened of Ren when Reza explained the lengths the man would go through to keep his band safe and secret. He was already strong, but if the band caused him to lash out uncontrollably, that didn't sound promising for the poor victim.

When Reza mentioned the one lover who survived, it didn't comfort Anita the least. Sure Ren had been flirting with her, but that gave no indication that he would let her live after finding out she knew about the band. She didn't want to tempt her luck either.

Anita walked over to the edge of camp when Reza finished speaking and plopped down. He was obviously waiting for questions, but Anita had none. She hadn't even had a chance for everything to sink in. There was so much that happened in that short time that she couldn't even think straight.

Raylynne Lana Kelane
Ray stood at the edge of the group, her expression blank. How was all that possible? He couldn't be an elemental AND a shifter. There must have been something that happened without her knowing. And she was determined to find out. There were enough people here that were just as oblivious as she was that there was no reason for her to open her mouth about the situation.

Ray quietly followed the group back to the camp, her expression not faltering and her voice remaining silent. She listened intently to Reza's explanation about Ren and his slavery band and thought about all the fun she could have with it at some point.

After Reza finished explaining, Ray went back to her spot by the log and picked up her carving again. She inspected the little pieces of the miniature hunter and sliced away some bark to create a little arrow notched in the tiny bow. All she could think about as she whittled was what would happen when the prince woke up.

      Shahar:
{Shahar's eyes darkened as she watched the events before her unfold. A stream of chaotic thoughts crossed her mind as Ren's body contorted and morphed, taking on a form that held an eerie resemblance to her younger sister. Never before had she heard of such an event taking place, not without the aid of a powerful item, akin to the one snugly concealed around her own ankle. While it certainly was remarkable, the phenomenon only managed to stir unease in her gut. For, what possible action had demanded such a change in the elemental? Before she had time to contemplate the implications any further, however, Ren's predatory gaze fell to her.

Mind suddenly quiet as the situation became clear, Shahar's eyes narrowed as she appraised the prince. His stance was familiar enough; the lowered head, abdomen brushing the ground, tensed muscled, and the piercing eyes. The stance of a predator. Even as he began to slink towards her, Shahar made no move to reach for her weapon. To do so would only threaten his life, a risk she was simply not willing to take. It was her duty, after all, to protect. As well, it was conceivable that Ren would be capable of breaking through his feral state of mind before doing any true damage. Most shifters never experienced such dysphoria, having learned to assert their own sentient consciousness in their animal form with ease. With this in mind, Shahar merely straightened her posture, standing tall before the feline as she returned his gaze with a frigid glare. Now was certainly not the time to be submissive.

Only the sudden stream of water that formed to engulf Ren managed to break her attention. Glancing with surprise at Jharna, she watched with curiosity as the sphere flowed smoothly around him, flickering gold with the touch of some unknown magic, and finally depositing the unconscious leopard to the ground. Whatever the little elemental had done, it seemed to have worked. Not missing the momentary glare that passed from Darth to Jharna, Shahar's first instinct was to trail Darth back to camp, and glean whatever answers she possibly could about the event she had just witnessed. While fully intent on doing precisely that, the sight of Jharna sliding trembling to the ground made her hesitate.

Gestures of appreciation had never been her strong point. She was far too proud, too independent, to accept help much of the time, and even then the extent of expressing her gratitude was often limited to a terse nod or a quick "thank you." This situation, however, was rather different than the ones she was typically posed with. Had Ren not been able to control his shifter form, it was very well possible Jharna had just saved her life, or at least prevented serious injury, and the girl was quite visibly distraught over her actions. Casting a final glance towards Darth as he hauled Ren back to camp, she reluctantly made her way to Jharna's side, where Anita had already settled.

Clearing her throat briefly before she spoke, Shahar did her best to keep her voice soft, despite her own discomfort. "Thank you, Jharna. I can't say I can fully understand what you just did, but... Your actions may have just prevented a far worse outcome. So, for that, thank you."

Not expecting a reply from the girl, although hoping her words had counted for some small comfort, Shahar turned to briskly follow Anita as she padded back to camp. She arrived with her normal inscrutable expression, attention falling to Reza as he began to explain Ren's predicament. Listening quietly, it was only after most of the others had dispersed that she approached Reza. Her eyes scrutinized the leopard's still body as she began to speak lowly, wary of any small movement that would betray the prince's return to consciousness.

"One does not go through this much trouble to curb the spirit of a rebellious child. So, my question is this; are you aware of who placed this band on Ren? And why it was deemed necessary?"
