Scarlet
Scarlet knew the vampire hadn't left, she was simply hiding. There was no way she would let her guard down with the beast still there. She kept her ears trained on the area the bat was hiding, making sure it didn't make any wrong moves.
"The place you call home is situated in between our two territories," she began. "It started out as a disagreement of ownership. The vampires claimed it was their only resource for blood and that they needed it more than we did. We knew it was closer to our borders and, with growing population in the pack, we needed the extra game. We did have the wildlife within our territory but again, our numbers were growing and food became scarce. The farmers in Transylvania supplied us with the necessary food even if they were reluctant to hand it over. As do all disagreements over land, our ancestors waged war on each other, each side vowing to never back down until the other was destroyed. Every time we encounter the other race, either in or out of territory, it fills us with hatred. This war can never end until one party is wiped out completely. No matter how long it may take. And it is my duty to bring my pack to victory."
After her speech, Scarlet returned her gaze to the bushes where the vampire disappeared, searching for any sign of the creature. She had kept a watchful ear on it but she may have slipped up while talking.
