P i n e - W a r r i o r

Pine was in sector 2, she crouched low, hearing a scuttle in the leaves. A warm smoky scent wafted to her nostrils. Mouse. She thought, her mouth watering. Then she crept closer, until she was in view of the plump creature busily eating a seed. It cocked its head sideways as she continued to stalk closer. It must have heard her. Pine stopped and waited for the mouse to put down its guard. It slowly went back to nibbling on a seed and then she pounced! Landing squarely on its tail. Her claws cooked on the mouse and it squeaked in protest and terror. She finished it off quickly and thanked the forest for the prey. Then she busily gripped the scruff of the mouse gently. She began to trot proudly back to camp.

Cassie watched as Pine walked into camp with a mouse, she then walked over to her. "Have you heard the news about sector 2 yet?" The deputy asked
