I sat in my cave den silently washing the wounds from a recent battle of his. He ate some deer left over from the previous night and padded outside into the sun, he let out a long howls summoning his scout to him. He had to discuss some happenings with her about the recent human problems.

Eating some left over vulture, Ylva sat peacefully in the den. Her mind soon turned to Wolf, he seemed to be in pain when he came back to the territory, but she couldn't get a close look or go and ask. Hearing a long howl, Ylva got up and ran to the source of the noise. The howl sounded urgent. Soon, she reached Wolf, who had howled. " What is it? " she barked, wondering why he had summoned her here.

"greeting Ylva" I said standing up and nodding "I've summoned you because I wanted to discuss the recent activities of the humans, I've noticed several times that they're advancing towards the hills in the machinery and it worries me." I sighed "I fear for the pack, so I need you to come with me on a perimeter check, we must remark all borders and keep an eye on other packs and loners that are after our territory and as a scout you must help with that." I looked at her "and while we're there I can have a chance to hunt for the pack, now follow" I then padded outside and down the hill approaching the forest.

Ylva nodded and followed Wolf, replaying the things he had just said in her head. We can't do anything about the humans and their machines, she thought. But when can protect the pack against other packs and those loners. She soon became worried about hunting with Wolf. Hunting was something Ylva rarely did, and she was scared of showing herself up in front of him. She soon forget about this as they continued walking down the hill. The forest came nearer and nearer as the pair came close to there destination.

I padded down a hill towards the river and fields where most prey flourished, it was also close to the humans and border, then he could re-mark it and check the scents of any loners or other packs. He looked around and dove a paw into the river once he'd reached it and grabbed a large trout then picking it out of the water he crushed its head with his heavy paw and killed it before taking it to the scout "There eat this seen as there will probably be no food left tonight for you, I'm going to mark the territory, stupid invaders taking our prey" he mumbled and padded away along the river.

Ylva sat near the river, watching Wolf in awe as he hunted. How could someone do that? Soon, he caught a large trout. Ylva was surprised when he placed the fish in front of her. She listened while he spoke. When he finished, Ylva nodded as watched as he walked away, a small blush formed on her cheeks. She stared at the fish, did he really think she was cute? She ate the fish, feeling guilty of eating the whole thing. Once her meal was finished, she walked along the river, following Wolf's scent. Soon, she reached the male, who was busy marking the territory. Ylva walked along the bored, looking for any loners or packs.

I marked the borders and padded along side Ylva silently staring ahead, he then came to the other edge of the territory and sniffed "Loner...male..here about 2 hours ago leading into the territory.." He mumbled "the scent goes that way" I pointed with my nose "keep to the edge of the territory while I track this wolf to see where he went," I then turned and padded away following the thick scent of the lone wolf.

Black slowly walked towards the territory he had been in earlier, hoping to see that pretty she wolf. His walk was uninterrupted until a wolf came in front of him. How rude! He thought. " Listen, if you move, I won't have to hurt any one. " he snarled. After a moment, the wolf didn't move. Ignorant. Black thought. He ran past the wolf, racing towards the border. He soon came to the place were the she wolf is. He grabbed the back of her neck, dragging her off the territory. The she wolf let out a long howl.

I growled and darted after the wolf angrily before noticing he'd grabbed Ylva. I then followed the loner and lunged at his tail biting on it and putting my claws into the soft ground to stop him from running. I let go of his tail and pounced onto his back letting out a warning growl.
