Rules of the pack

|~What the Ranks Mean~|
(Credit for this next piece of text to the Grey sky and Howling Moon pack (if that's its name XD)

Alpha Male & Alpha Female
The Alpha male leads the pack with the help from the alpha female and the betas. He can hunt, go on a patrol, or just sit around. He decides important things like who will join, who will be alpha next, who will get banned and so on. If they are not respected they can attack that wolf and they by all means can disrespect lower ranks.
The Alpha female is the alpha males mate. She will be by his side always and helps lead the pack. She also is the "queen" of the nursery. After she has had her first litter her job is to teach new mothers hot to raise pups or help older mothers with their litters.

Beta Male & Beta Female
The beta male and female are the ones who will take over when the Alpha male dies. Even if the Alpha female is still alive they will be alpha's when the Alpha male dies. They also can hunt and patrol. If the alpha male dies and the beta female has no mate she will lead the pack like the Alpha male would.

Delta Male & Female
These two mates Take over the beta rank when they become alpha. They are taught how to lead the pack and to help out the betas. They hunt and patrol but also help the healer collect herbs or keep company to those who are sick. Their job is to watch over the pack when the betas and alphas are out or asleep. They also make sure everyone eats in the right order.

Pup Caretakers/Queens
Mother wolves are hunters or patrollers who are going to have pups or currently have them. They don't have to do anything until their pups are made hunters, patrollers, healers, deltas, or omegas. Then they will go back to their normal rank. Until then they can order any wolf around ( besides the alphas ) to do what they want them to. They are also paid with as much respect as a Delta.

Elders
Elders are wolves over the age of 10. They are taken care of until they pass away and do not have to do anything. Omegas have to wait until the age of 12 to become an elder. If a wolf is born with something wrong, three legs, Unable to walk, an injury that will never heal they will be moved to the elders den no matter what age.

Hunters
These wolves hunt for the pack. They CAN NOT go on patrols. They eat after the healers and mother wolves, and must be treated with respect. Hunters are the smaller, quick wolves in the pack. Because they are smaller and quicker, they are able to hunt easier than bigger built wolves.

Patrollers
These wolves patrol the boarder and fight off attacking wolves. They cannot hunt. They eat after the hunters, and are treated as a normal wolf. Patrollers are the bigger built wolves in the pack. Because they are built larger they can fend off intruders better than smaller wolves. In the winter time they are aloud to hunt because there is less prey.

Pups
Pups cannot leave camp until their mother wolf brings them out at the age of four months. After that they may come and go as they want but always with an omega. They become an Apprentice at the age of five months but if they are a runt they will become an Omega. If they were born with something wrong with them they will become an Elder.

Apprentices
These dogs have turned five months old and are being trained as apprentices. They are able to choose their ranking, Hunter apprentice or Patroller apprentice. Not Delta, Beta, Alpha, or Healer. Healers will pick their own apprentices, as well as Deltas. Betas and Alphas don't have them. Apprentices train until they are a year old, Then they will use one more month to learn basic healing and whatever skill they didn't choose. They become a full hunter or patroller at the age of one year two months.

Omega
The Omega is the lowest rank. They cannot hunt, patrol, or order other dogs around. They cannot have mates and they eat once all the other dogs have their fill. These wolves are to be treated with no respect at all. During the winter when prey is scarce, they are allowed to patrol the boarders while the normal patrollers hunt.

Healer
The Healer is one of the most important ranks, they take care or injured, sick, or hurt wolves. When the Healer has decided on a apprentice the apprentice will be taught about herbs and caring for other wolves. When the Healer reaches the age of a elder, he/she will retire and become a elder and then the apprentice healer will become a full time healer.
