Cody reflected on this.
He didn't exactly remember anything before he met Shady. He didn't know he had an appearance before she told him years ago what he looked like. He was still unsure about exactly what his hair looked like or what color it was. Maybe he hadn't been born exactly, maybe Shady was his mother, in a way, because maybe he was just part of her imagination. 'becoming human' or not, it could be.

"I'm not sure." he said after a while.

Shady frowned at his apparent confusion, and she sat patiently as he sifted through his memories.
"How are you not sure?" She rubbed the back of her neck nervously.
"You can't remember anything before you met me? Tell me the last memory you have. It could be from anything. "

"I remember seeing the sun rise every morning and the sun set every night," Cody murmured, "I don't know how many times I saw it happen but I saw things change with the days."
