“The council was out on recess discussing what course should be taken with Arash when I was called in. I remember clearly a mark on the side of his face given by my counterpart Ramrio, a water elemental who is far better suited for working with captives that need to be kept alive. He gave his name willingly to me to which I flashed a surprised glance at were Kern. After all the course to be taken with the man was highly contested, and my work tended to have one end.”
“Turns out your man had some dirt on Kern, who needed the job finished without mention of his little secrets. After some negotiations we staged torture and an attack in which the man had escaped and pulled a knife on Kern, thus forcing me to act. It cost Faypine another Serpent spy who could have leaked vital information, much to my pleasure.” He took another drink. “Falcons want gruesome. I assure you your senior was gone long before flames touched his skin.”
Standing Luke makes his way around the bed before sprawling in it. “You said you wanted to provide contact between Alec, myself and Esterbrush. What possible interest would I have in Esterbrush besides access to venom? Which I will add would be nonnegotiable if only for fear of both my life and the serpent healer.”
Luke’s eyes feel on Idris, curiosity burning. “You know Idris, for whatever reason you sought me out to begin with, I understand your motives to have changed. You having treated me, an action that will repair a weapon for every Nation but yours, and in a way that is.. How did you put it? Recklessly romantic?"
A soft smile pushed at his eyes. "These days I am slow to trust people, and find fear in strange things. If your willing to put up with it, I am willing to help you gather any scarp of information wanted or needed bout this reached nation. You can play off my loyalties as payment and I get to aid your nation in playing mind games with the falcons."
Leaning a little into Idris he took in small details such as the way the man rested his hand besides him. "If your indeed planning to court me, its going to be a long road." Gingerly, as to mind the injury, he placed his hand over Idris's.
"Don't let me discourage you." Said softly as he relaxed allowing the drink calm his nerves.
