Amandine shivered in the cold as it started to snow. This wasn't going to be an easy winter. She looked over at her four companions and gave a smile. "We should find somewhere to rest." She told them, her smile fading. Being the youngest in the group wasn't so bad. "Before the storm blows up." She added with a shiver.

[*Hollystar*]

Holly nodded. "If we don't find somewhere, my tail is going to freeze off!" She shivered violently.

Thorn lurked on the edge of the group, his eyes darting between the other three cats.

Princess wailed. "I want my house-folk! I want my warm bed and a nice bowl of kibble!"

"You don't have twolegs now." Amandine snapped. "We are out in the wilderness alone. Don't you think I wish I was still back in France? But no I couldn't be because they trapped me and put me on a ship." She snarled. "Twolegs are nothing but trouble." She added as she looked ahead. "Look!" She said as she raced ahead, peaking her head inside a hollow tree laying on it's side. "This will have to do." She said. Princesse peut parfois ennuyeux de ses twolegs. she thought.

Holly nodded. "Amandine is right Princess, your tow-legs are gone." She slipped into the hollow tree along with Amandine.

Thorn grunted his dislike and climbed the tree instead of going into it. "I'm staying up here!" He announced to no one in particular.

"I hope you freeze to death!" Princess spat at Thorn. Then she slipped inside the tree with Amandine and Holly, still mumbling about how her two-legs would have made this better.

Amandine rolled her eyes. "Just focus on surviving, don't grunt over what we used to have." She said, looking around the hollow tree. It had a lot of moss on the inside so she started scraping the walls and putting the moss on the ground. She tested it and it was slightly damp, but good enough to sleep on. She walked outside and looked at Thorn. "Come inside." She growled. "You will freeze to death. You may be more independent but at least try to survive." She said. "Or help me hunt before the snow really picks up." She growled.

"I'll hunt on my own thanks." Thorn growled at Amandine. He leaped out of the tree and stalked off.

Holly sighed as Thorn walked off. "I'll hunt with you Amandine." She looked back at Princess. "Why don't you stay here." She suggested kindly, knowing they would never catch anything with Princess in tow.

Princess gave a violent shiver and sniffed loudly. "Well, if you insist." She pulled her head back into the tree.

Amandine rolled her eyes with smiled kindly at Holly. "Thanks." She said before looking over at Princess. "How about you make yourself useful and turn the moss piles into nests while we go get food?" She suggested. She glared after Thorn but didn't speak to him. "We'd better hunt quickly though." She said.
