This rp is about a cat and a pit bull who have to get off a sinking island, and their adventures afterwards.

Name: Cappuccino (Cap or Cappy for short)

Species/breed: Dog/pit bull
Appearance: White with brindle splotches. Appears muscular, is very powerful, but is super sweet. There is a small scar on his neck, and he won't tell anyone how he got it. He is constantly wagging his tail, and panting. Always friendly!

Gender: Female
Species/breed: cat/mix
Appearance: Fur isn't long, but not short either. Her fur is blue-gray. Green eyes, and almost never grooms herself. Hates it when Cappy licks her, but loves to snuggle with him while she sleeps. One ear has a good sized chunk out of it.

Cappuccino woke with a huge stretch and a yawn. His teeth shone in the sunlight and his muscular body flexed as he moved. Looking around, the house was unusually quiet. He could hear the radio in the other room.
ZZZZZzzzzzzzzRRRRREEEEEEEzzzzzzzzEEERRRRRREEEEE it screeched. Then an anouncement came on.
"This is a message to any people still left on Little Rock island. Evacuate as fasg as you can. For those of you who haven't heard, that island is sinking. All citizens are fleeing as quickly as possible, causing traffic jams all over the coast off Maryland. For citizens near the coast- stay off the roads if possi...." the radio started sccreaming again
zzzzzzzZZZREEEEEEeeeeooooeeeeeZZZZZZZZREEEEEEeeeeee
Cap knew all too well what that message meant, and why the house was so quiet. They had been left behind. He had to warn the two cats! But wait- one was gone! Their family had only taken one cat, and nobody else.

Soon they would smell the Chesapeke Bay, and crab and all the people on the mainland...

Valla lifted her nose to the air, sniffing delicately. She turned to her companion, "What do you thinks going on?"

Cap turned his whole body in Valla's direction. When his bark arose, it shook his whole body... "We need to leave the island! It's sinking! Let's eat something and go." Before Valla had time to answer, Cap used a stool to get ontop of the counter. He grabbed some human food, and dropped it on the floor for him and Valla.

[Startedraining]

Sinking? Valla shook her head, how could an island sink?
Valla grabbed a paper bag and clawed it open. Bread. She grabbed a piece in her mouth and scarfed it down. She ate two more pieces, then looked at Cappy expectantly.

Honestly, Cap didn't know what they should do. He only knew they had to leave. After some thought, he made a decision.
"Remember when the human told us that the river leads to the ocean? If we follow the river, then the ocean, we'll eventually make it to the giant bridge that connects to the mainland! How does that sound?"

[Startedraining]

"We should hurry I guess, the bridge is also connected to the island." Which is sinking, she thought internally. She turned and rushed out of the room, nearing the front door.

Cap lunged for the door before Valla could reach it. She sat, stunned, and waited for an explanation.
"Let's get one of the tiny human bags and pack some food in it. Just in case." Cap said. Valla nodded.

[Startedraining]

"The island isn't that big, we'll be fine." Valla protested weakly. She shrugged, "I'll wait for you if you want to get something just in case. But you're gonna have to carry the bag."
