SkieNight x Wolfe, 1x1

-_-------It came, they thought they had finished off their worst enemy, but something far worse was around the corner. Their worst nightmare.
-_----------It struck, it hit them hard. They thought that their sacred city would protect them, but even the most powerful wards could hide them from it.
------------It kills, even with hundreds of years of training and abilities surpassed by none, it is still invincible. Even though they can take down dozens of demons, they can't take down one creature, one beast.

Shadowhunters, a rare and sacred race. For thousands of years, some even think since the beginning of human history, the Shadowhunters have protected the earth from danger. They recently destroyed their worst enemy, the man who was going to destroy them once and for all. But now it seems like something else as arisen, something beyond their control, a thing they have never seen before. They call it a Revenant, many believe that the thing isn't even human. What ever it is, it's killing them, and everything else in it's way. After being forced to leave their sacred city to the beast the Shadowhunters need help and their only hope is to turn to a group of mundanes, but will simple humans be enough to stop this beast? Or will it wipe out the entire Shadowhunter race.

Wolfe's Characters
Image

Name: Weiss
Gender: Male
Race: Revenant
Age: Pretty hard to tell... considering he hardly ever shows his face.
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 215lbs

Extras: Not much is known about Weiss, except for his vast powers. Everything, as long as it is organic in nature, because corrupted. The land becomes blighted, trees and plants become twisted, monstrous things, and animals and people slowly began to decay from the outside; a sort of disease that racks their entire bodies, until they are nothing more then an animated corpse, before they die of many symptoms all working together.
For the most part, Weiss is clothed in some fashion of heavy armor. The armor is lacking upon his chest and his right arm, showing off the complexion of his skin; a pale grey color. His body is tone, made up of nothing but muscle. He keeps his face hidden, usually by some sort of helm or hood. However, his eyes are a bright, crimson red, which glow brightly and can be seen no matter what he wears over his head.
As a Revenant, he is considered something in the undead class, yet this may not be true. Not much is known about the... creature, to know if he is living, or something dead.
His weapon of choice is a long greatsword, which he has the strength to carry in one hand. This includes being able to swing it about, effortlessly. He also totes around a shield, though he hardly feels the need to use it.

-x-

Image

Name: Dante Mark
Gender: Male
Race: Nephilim (Shadowhunter)
Age: 27
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 175lbs

Extras: The Mark family has taken up residence in Alicante since the beginning, or so it is claimed. Dante takes his family's name very seriously, holding it of high regards. You make the mistake of bad mouthing his family, you risk having a fist in your face or a blade dug into your side. He's well trained, as every Shadowhunter is, in the art of demon slaying. Yet, his cocky attitude and bad temper usually get him into more trouble then is necessary.
When Idris fell to the clutches of the Revenant, Dante and his family fled, taking up residence in a "summer home" of theirs. The family sticks close together, a tightly knit clan of some of the top ranking Shadowhunters Alicante had to offer. They were lucky that none of their family had been injured during the escape. Dante and his twin brother, Vergil, are given orders to find mundanes with the best potential, and these mundies shall be trained. It is something he would refuse, if not for his father. The strict man has more control over the boy then he knows. Besides, what does Dante care if a few dozen mundanes are used as bait, as long as they can get their home back.

-x-

Image

Name: Vergil Mark
Gender: Male
Race: Nephilim (Shadowhunter)
Age: 27
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 171lbs

Extras: Just like his twin, Vergil takes his family's name very seriously. It's a Mark thing, seeing as the family is a tight knit clan of Shadowhunters. His twin is a rather brash creature, while he claims to be the opposite. Pairing the two up, was probably for the best, considering Vergil is the thinker, while Dante is the doer. While Vergil has no real control over what his brother does, he can easily influence Dante to calm down, rather then blow things drastically out of proportion.
Both boys would be considered vain, yet Vergil takes it to a much further extreme. He's prim and proper, even having an OCD problem with cleanliness. Though, Vergil can also come off as a bit naive. He also has a slight fascination with the mundanes and their world, enough so, that he can easily become distracted by it.

SkieNight's Characters

Image

Name: Tessa Rosalyn Howell
Gender: Female
Race: Mundane (Human)
Age: 24
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 122 lbs

Extra: There is no denying that Tessa is a smart girl, a recent undergraduate from harvard she has taken the first steps to becoming a doctor. She has a certain stubbornness about her, and when she sets her mind to something she will do it, no matter what anyone thinks. Though her brain has brought her far in life, she isn't very outgoing. She only has one close friend, her best friend Jess. She isn't very open about many things and often comes out as almost untrusting, which is partially true. Tessa is always up for a challenge and will often do things because of that part of her nature.

Image

Name: Jessica Williams
Gender: Female
Race: Mundane (Human)
Age: 26
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 133lbs

Extra: Jess is not a small girl, that's for sure. Being Tessa's best friend since fifth grade it has become clear that the two are the same but different. Jessica is not a shy girl, she isn't afraid to talk to strangers. Many people would say that she's 'brave' and maybe she is though brave is the last thing the girl would label herself as. Though she comes out as confident Jessica has always been afraid of what others think of her, making it hard for her to do certain things. It's one of the reasons she went to med-school, so she wouldn't be scared. For a confident and loud girl, Jess easily crumbles if she doesn't have a solid base.

(I do have some shadowhuters for later, and some dues, i just figured that I'd balance genders slightly)

The crisp morning air, nipped at her exposed nose and cheeks. Most people in the city would be wearing scarves on such a morning, but Tessa refused. She was not a scarf person, she felt as though it was a noose waiting to happen, and so the girl walked out of the building in a long sleeved turtleneck, with a light gray cardigan over it. Her long brown hair was pulled back into a bun, this left the back of her neck exposed to the chilly air. Maybe I should've warn a scarf today. She thought with a small sigh.

She shrugged the thought off, there was no reason she should go back into her apartment, she had some shopping to get done. It was rare to get a day off from school and she wanted to spend it wisely, besides she was meeting with Jess to go out and have lunch. So the young woman continued down the street, her black boots clipping against hard ground, adding a down beat to rhythm of the city.

Her eyes fell over the old abandon building that stood next to her apartment. Well, she couldn't say stood, it was more leaning then anything. "Why is that thing still there?" she always asked herself this question when she walked by. She understood that it was 'ancient' and a 'relic' and all, but they could at least redo it. Besides, it was abandon, she had never seen anyone even go near the building, let along inside of it. "A new condo would be nice." She mumbled as she started down the stairs that lead to the subway.

She glanced over the walls of the underground station. Bright new graffiti had been streaked over the stone wall. It was messy, and frankly impossible to read. Unimpressed by the street art she continued on her way, sliding through the machine and into the station. Tessa walked to the far platform, not that there were many options as to where to go. She stopped near tracks and leaned back against a pole. Her hazel eyes glanced over the board that announced the subway times. "Five minuets..." she mumbles. Tessa was not a patient person, for her five minuets would be an eternity.

The sound of pounding feet catching the sidewalk seemed to amplify with the street being so empty. A dark man rounded the corner, a hood cloaked his face, which he kept held with one hand. The hand, however, was heavily gloved, and for good reason. No one would know by the looks of him, if he had removed the cloak, but he wasn't exactly human; but a vampire. The vamp skidded around a corner, looking both ways before dashing down into the depths of the subway station. Crowds of people, now that was bound to be an easy escape. He wasn't as smooth as he thought, as the two chasing after him came to a stop.

"Damn vamp!" Dante spat, spitting as he did so. His saliva was traced with blood, which he wiped on the back of his coat sleeve. That vampire was going to get it! It had caught the dark haired man off his guard, luckily it hadn't done much, but it was enough to really PO Dante. He made to rush after him, shining silver blade within his left hand. Though, before he could even budge, a firm hand had been placed on his shoulder, pulling him back. His icy blue eyes set into a stern glare as he looked back over his shoulder at his sibling.

"Remember, we will have to be careful. There is a lot of places he could hide down there, and a lot of people he could use as a shield." the blonde reminded, trying hard to keep his twin in check. Though, he knew his anger had been tampered with. That vampire had done a number on him, and though Vergil wasn't about to say anything, Dante was forming a bruise on his face, starting from the edge of his chin, all the way to the upper part of his jaw.

"Yeah... right." Dante scoffed, pulling his shoulder out of his brother's grip. He wasted little time following after their escapee. Taking no note of the graffiti, and nearly barreling through the machine, his eyes scanned the packed area, looking for any traces of the vampire that ruined his face.

Vergil sighed, following after Dante. He was much calmer and collected, that was apparent. There was no real rush, the train wouldn't be here for another... three minutes now. They could get on the train, act as if they were finding a decent car, but really trying to find the vampire. He knew that would be his brother's thoughts anyways. He silently cussed under his breath, realizing he had lost sight of Dante. Now... how he could've managed to loose a six foot, two inch man, he would never know.

Dante managed to weave his way in and out of the crowd, stopping to curse loudly, causing a few bystanders to give him foul looks. The word he had uttered hadn't really been a nice one. A nearby lady even covered up her small child's ears, ushering the small girl as far away from him as she could. Yeah, yeah, lady. She'll hear worse then that when she gets older." Dante whispered, before picking up the search again. Not paying much attention, he nearly knocked down a young brown haired woman. He tossed her a quick glance, taking in what she was wearing. Your usual fall attire; a long sleeved turtleneck, with a light gray cardigan over it. "God, why do women always have to be in the way!" he barked, rolling those icy blue eyes of his, before standing up onto his tiptoes, peering around for the man... no, vampire he was going to pummel.

Tessa's eyes never left the clock on the wall. The seconds seemed to tick by as if they were making fun of her, and when the minuet changed it felt as though a day should have gone by. At least to Tessa it did. Her impatience made everything seem so much longer then it needed to be. Now, if the train could only show up so I- her thoughts were cut off when she found herself toppling over.

Around her, Tessa could hear a few gasps. She wasn't sure what was going on, only that she was falling side ways. As quickly as she could she moved her feet under herself, making her body drifted slightly. But in the end she stayed upright, or mostly. The purse, which had been strapped over her should slid off, poor it's contents all over the floor.

Though she wasn't a fain of foul language, she did use it. Cursing under her breath she sunk down cleaning up her spilled back. Tessa looked up, at the dark haired man who now seemed to be yelling at her, though it went in one ear and out the other. She stood up calmly and dusted herself off. She would be getting her PHD soon, so yelling back at him was not an option, but she was more then a little angry.

"Excuse me sir, but my I ask why you ran into me." she didn't try to hide the bitterness in her voice. Though Tessa wasn't a very outgoing person, she wasn't afraid to face a conflict head on. Besides, all she wanted was a sorry from him, then she could continue on with her day as though nothing had ever happened. She swung the purse back over her shoulder and her hands crossed over her chest, her eyes narrowed and she watched the dark haired man closely.

On any normal occasion she would say that he was attractive, there was no lying about that. But in her heat of anger and some embarrassment, she did fall in front of at least twenty people, he was the opposite of attractive. At the moment it seemed as though he were scum on the bottom her her boots. "Well?" she huffed her patients growing thiner by the second.

Hearing the annoyed clip in the woman's voice, Dante shifted back from standing on his tiptoes, to fully facing the woman. His right brow lifted, as he looked the brown haired woman up and down, checking her out. His eyes did a small half roll, before he even debated speaking to this little mundane. "Don't flatter yourself, baby girl. I would never have touched you. You just happened to be in my way." Dante said smoothly, before a loud, thundering noise overtook the entire area. The train had just pulled into the station. All the doors slid open at once, allowing people to shove in and out of each compartment. "There you are." he hissed, spotting the vamp he had been chasing.

The creature was still fully clothed, even the hood on the back of his jacket was still up and over his head. Giving the brown head a second glance, he sighed. He shouldn't be telling anyone this, especially not a mundane. If he hadn't lost track of Verg, he probably would have chided him if he didn't. "You may not want to get on that train. Just sayin'." he grunted, before rushing off, entering one of the already tightly packed cars, shoving his way around.

For a moment, Vergil almost didn't make it into the train at all. There were just so many people here, closely packed together like cattle being shipped off to slaughter. It made his stomach twist into knots. It wouldn't have been that bad, if all the people were clean. Most didn't even appear to be clean, something that really irked the blonde. One man, who appeared to be homeless, shifted passed him, catching his overcoat and brushing some horribly looking gunk right along the expensive suit he was wearing. Vergil made an awkward choking noise, pulling the overcoat's end up and holding it as far away from him as he possibly could, before somehow, miraculously, getting onto the train.

"He's buying me a new suit." Verg muttered, slamming into another man roughly. He made to say excuse me, but the words never fully escaped his lips. He was almost surprised when he had ran straight into the vampire. The vamp nearly lost all focus, screaming awkwardly at the top of his lungs, before barreling into people left and right, knocking them for a loop. "Hey! Stop!" Vergil called out, rushing to get to the young vamp before he did anything stupid.

Tessa's face remained neutral, or as neutral as she could make it. His raised brown was what almost made Tessa brake, and smile, for some reason that expression would have raised the corners of her mouth. But she didn't let that happen, taking in a small breath she blinked twice and listened as she spoke. "Don't flatter yourself, baby girl. I would never have touched you. You just happened to be in my way."

Tessa blinked a few more times and stared at the man blankly. Did he really have the guts to go out and say that she was in the way, when she had just been leaning against the pole. "Why, I'll have you know-" but in a flash the man had left, one could go as far to say as he vanished in the crowed. She almost didn't hear what he last said. "Why should I get into the train!" she mumbled slowly walking towards the tightly packed car. "That is absolutely ridiculous."

When Tessa was on the threshold of the subway car something rammed into her back sending her into the car. This time, however, the young woman wasn't able to catch herself. She stumbled and ended up sprawling out on the feet of some strangers. Cursing rather loudly she pulled herself up with the help of some young man. After mumbling a thank you. She glanced around the car.

Some young man was pushing his way through the car. It was as if he were running from someone. Her hazel eyes followed the man as he plowed people over. She was tempted to call out to him and yell at him for being so rude, but she was beat to it. A crowd of people were all ready yelling and swearing at the man. Wong move dude. She thought rather smugly. You're gonna have a crowd a POed people running after you if you keep that up.

The vampire was doing a number in the crowd, shoving people as he tried to find a safe way away from the blonde man chasing after him. He had almost made it to the door, the one that led into another car, when he skidded to a stop. His arms flailing as he tried to catch himself, making him look rather awkward. If one could see his face, they could of seen the fear that it held, as he caught sight of the other man, the dark haired one. He nearly let out a terrifying scream, though it came out as merely a whimper, before he tried to backtrack.

He heard the door of the car open, and the clucking of Dante's heavy boots upon the metal floor. It sounded much louder to him, but, he was trapped... trapped like a gigantic, blood sucking rat. He let out a guttural growl. It made many of the passengers back away from him, seeing as it didn't sound human, but animal-like. His eyes rushed around the crowd madly, before they focused on a single person. As quick as a flash, he had the young woman in a head lock, using her as some sort of shield. "Get away from me!" he shouted, pushing back his hood to reveal his face. His skin was pale... almost sickly looking. Again, he let out another one of his feral sounding growls, this time, flashing a pair of fangs at everyone. People screamed and tried to get away from this crazed lunatic.

Dante grimaced, his icy blue eyes more focused upon the woman he held captive. Of course, it had to be the woman he ran into, the one he had told not to get on the train. "Damn women... They never listen..." he scoffed, reaching down to his belt and pulling out a bright, silver blade. He flipped it playfully within his hand, watching as the angelic runes seemed to glitter in the dim train light.

"You know her?" Vergil questioned, one of his eyebrows arching. He doubted his brother would have any relationship with a mundane, but it was a question he had to ask.

"Haha! No." Dante was quick to answer, shaking his head as he continuing to play with the blade in his hand, "I ran into her's all. Too bad though... seems she'll be the vamp's chew toy before long." Vergil just gave him a look. It was stern and it was serious... and, it would have made Dante laugh in his brother's face, if not for the seriousness that sat before them. "Yeah, yeah... save the girl. I got it!" Dante snapped, watching as his brother seemed to meld back into the crowd, ghost-like.

The train's doors were closed once and for all. They were all trapped here, in this big metal box with a lunatic, and the only thing they could do was to rush to another part of the train and hope they were safe. As the crowds pushed and shoved, or at least tired to, their way out of the car, Tessa was left near the end of the line. In truth the girl wasn't so worried, that was she wasn't worried until she heard the beastly noise the guy, was he even a guy, was he even human?, made.

She, along with everyone else who was normal, tried to push her way towards the exit. However, the young woman froze, she could feel a cold almost animal like eyes on her. Slowly she turned around, which in fact was a big mistake. She could just make something out, something racing towards her.

Tessa didn't even have time open her mouth for a scream, with in a second she was hunched over and wheezing. Her small neck was locked in the arms of the crazy man. She coughed and choked as she gasped for air. Two figured stopped in front of them. Tessa couldn't even listen to what they were saying, her mind was focused solely on the hunt for air, which few and hard to get.

Unable to lift her head to look the men in the eyes. She glanced up as much as she could without moving. For once, Tessa was truly scared, scare for her own life, and for others. Fear bubbled up in her chest. At any moment I could die. The though hit her, like a punch in the stomach. Yet the two men were just standing there. She gave them, or at least tried to give them, a pleading look. "h-help." she coughed as she gasped for another breath. She would have tired to kick the man, but she all ready felt as though she was going to fall over, using a leg to kick was out of the option right now. She felt numb, almost like a rag doll as she hung from the psycho man's grasp.

Hiding under sheets with the news on repeat
'Cause the screams and cries are hard to delete
While I'm trying to sleep, oh how could I sleep?
Laying in bed, trying to empty my head
All these acts of violence ripping this world to shreds
While I'm trying to sleep, oh how could I sleep?

Wish there were words to say to make a change
Oh, the words to sing to end this suffering

Let's start a revolution where we all stand as one
Cause we need to make a change for a new day
We need to be the generation that’ll awaken a solution
Cause we need to make a change
Make a change, make a change for a new day

Dante stood there, watching the vampire freak out, along with everyone else in the car. His brother had left this entire thing up to him... A bad move on Verg's part, he thought. He would've left her, if not for being held hostage by a downworlder, one that had socked him in the face, and one that was rather wanted. He felt it in his gut, that he should've left her, though he had to think of his job, and his family, before all else. If he allowed the vamp to do what he wanted with this mundane, and he was so near, it would look bad, just not for him, but for his family. And that, well, that wasn't about to happen.

Stripping himself of his leather jacket, allowing it to fall to the floor, he wore a simple blank tank underneath. His arms were bare, except for many strange, tattoo-like marking etched strategically about his arms. The vampire, not really knowing most of the symbols meanings, clutched Tessa more tightly, dragging her back until he was pressed up against the car wall. "Stay away from me or I'll..." he shouted, though his voice was cut out by the man standing before him.

"Or you'll what?" Dante chuckled, shrugging his shoulders lightly. The glinting silver blade was still grasped firmly within his hand, though he was twisting it around his fingers absentmindedly. "You'll bite her? Your still a newbie yourself. I really doubt your ready to take another under your wing. Well... actually, I encourage it. I'd love to see her rip you in two. Would be one less downworlder I would have to deal with."

The vampire considered his words, knowing them to be true. Though, these were desperate times... and he wasn't willing to go down without a fight. Once more, he tightened his hold on Tessa, this time, choking her. "Get away from me! I'll kill her, before I let you touch me!" he screamed at the top of his lungs, his eyes wild with fear.

Dante's eyes rolled, and he let out a small grown. It was apparent that this was boring him. "Let's get this over with." Dante grunted. The vampire made to scream another threat, though before he realized it, the shadowhunter was already on him. It was a quick movement. The silver blade glinting madly as it was plunged into the vampire's side, right in the sweet spot. With a jerking push, Dante made sure the bite of his blade went deeper. The vamp's face was a twisted expression of shock, fear, and pain... His grip was released from Tessa, where Dante easily pulled her away. He watched as the vamp sunk to the floor, clutching his side, blood seeping between his fingers and palm, soaking threw his clothes and onto the floor.

Again, Dante wasted little time, pulling Tessa with him through car and car, until they were away from the scene. Not like anyone would remember his face, thanks to his runes. He cursed under his breath when he realized he had left his jacket. He didn't release his grip on Tessa until the train had stopped, and they were out into a different station. He tossed her wrist away from him, wheeling around on her. "Didn't I tell you not to get on that train! What are you, stupid?" he shouted at her, before running a hand threw his dark hair, "You're fine, aren't you?" He had to ask, for his brother. He could care less if she had been hurt, though he would never hear the end of it, if he didn't ask for Vergil.

Time seemed to stop, as the freak help Tessa. It was as if the entire world was waiting for one move, the move of the young man standing in front of her. The fear that had started in her gut had traveled up her spine, numbing her whole body. She should do something? She needed to do something, but what? Tessa was barely holding herself up. She seemed to be in an odd kneeling position, but her knees weren't touching the ground, only her toes were holding her up, and even then, her legs were shaky as though she were to collapse at any moment.

As seconds slowly ticked by, and nothing happened Tessa started to panic. Her small tremors turned into shaking and her heart seemed to jump start. Her panic an worry didn't help her breathing, her coughs actually worsened from her quickened breaths. She looked at the man, her eyes like deers in the middle of the road, wide and full of fear. Her mouth formed the word help, but her breath came short, and it was as if her throat refused to make sounds.

Her ears picked up the voice of the man. She could kind of make out what he was saying, though in her fear and panic some of the words were muffled and slurred. "- you'll what? You'll bite her? Your still a newbie yourself. I really doubt.... under your wing... I'd love to see her rip you in two-" Tessa's mind tried to form the words, and their meaning. She found herself confused. Who the hell would try to bite her? What kind of weird freak would they be? In a second she concluded the freak wasn't human, he was something. But those kinds of things, don't exist... science...

Tessa's mind was warped in a bundled of fear, slight anger towards the man for just standing there and utter confusion. She was snapped out of her mind when the grip on her throat tightened. She coughed again, this time completely unable to breath. Her face was twisted in agony and fear as she fought for a breath. She panicked and kicked her leg out trying to kick the man, but it was as if she kicked a metal arch, nothing happened.

Her lungs burned and she coughed again hoping that he was loosen just a second for her to slip in some air. But the grip was firm, and unmoving, that is unmoving until the man moved. The movement was so fast, Tessa didn't fully know what happened. One minuet she was chocking in the hold of a lunatic, and the next she was being tossed across the car like a sack of potatoes. She didn't bother to stand, she just sat on the floor trying to gain breath through a fit of coughing.

Out of nowhere she was pulled onto her feet. Not knowing who it was she fought to escape their grasp. She looked up, through blurry eyes - when had she been crying?- and noticed the man pulling her through cars. It was the first time she had a good look at him, broad shoulders, a black tank, but the thing that caught her off guard were the odd tattoo markings that seemed to dance down both of his arms.

The train slowed to a stop, and when it did she was practically tossed away. "Didn't I tell you not to get on that train! What are you, stupid?" Tessa blinked, breath was easier for her now but she still found herself shaky and her throat raw. "What? Why would I listen to a stranger, I had no reason not to get on the train. Besides, I have lunch with a friend that I must catch." His second question actually surprised her, he didn't seem like the kind of guy to care about how she was after the whole ordeal.

Tessa rubbed her neck, her skin was all ready bruising by the sour feeling on her touch. "Fine... yeah... I'll be fine." she said quickly. She didn't want any more help from this guy if he was going to be such a total pain about it. "I- I have one question though," but there was something that sat on Tessa's mind that she had to know. "What was that freak? He was human right? I mean... he had to be human..."
