Current Plot
In a last hope in escape and freedom, pair of renegades steal a ship and fly off into the unknown. A few days pass and all is seemingly well. Until the fire nation attacked without warning the ships systems begun to fail. Losing control of the ship they are hurtled towards an unknown planet. Will they survive? Or will their attempt at freedom put them in an eternal prison.

[Lailic]

Lailic spooned heaps of some sort of mash into her mouth. She was growing tired of being on the ship, the close quarters and limited supplies were driving her mad. After spending the last few days desperately hoping that they'd managed to get away from the corrupt society she liked to refer to the Wasp Nest, she was wanting nothing more then to have her feet on the ground. To be able to stretch out and run would be a dream come true. So far it seemed they were safe. But she couldn't fully believe that, not yet.

She leaned forward suddenly, pushing the spoon and empty bowl away from her. May didn't particularly like the gruel that was being served, but she was never one to say no to food. She glanced around the cafeteria for a moment, stood, and headed out into the hallway, which was honestly more like a causeway considering there wa s a variety of different levels leading down and up to different parts of the ship. May leaned against the heavy metal walls and sighed, dissatisfaction left a bitter taste in her mouth.

Lailic looked down at her watch and then quickly glanced around. She stood up, put her bowl into the wash pit and walked away. Tonight was the night she was getting out of the corruption. Leaving for good. Her nerves were chewing at her. The entire plan could get her killed. She was already watched, already a suspect. But there was little she could do about it. Heading down a corridor she saw May and walked up to her. "Hey" her voice dropped to a low whisper. "Do you have everything you need ready?"

May nodded slightly, she didn't make eye contact with Lailic. If anyone caught onto their growing friendship, they'd easily figure out their plan of escape, "As ready as I'll ever be. Which is not at all, mostly, but my things are packed. I can meet you at the cargo storage in fifteen minutes."

Lailic gave a small nod and kept walking. She headed for her room and grabbed the small bundle of things she needed. What they were about to do could get them killed... but if they succeeded. Oh if they succeeded the freedom would be unlike anything either of them had experienced. She ducked out of her room and headed to the cargo storage. Inside was a small ship they could escape on. The pressure was on. Her palms begun to sweat, but she was determined to continue on with the plan.

May hurried through the hallways, dodging and smiling at friends and ship managers, trying to avoid being stopped and spoken to. She flung open her dorm door and picked up a medium-sized bag. She hiked it over her shoulders and pulled her hair into a ponytail.
Before running headlong down the empty hallway, May stopped and looked in the grimy mirror in her small dorm. What could become of her? She closed her door firmly, finally, and rushed to meet Lailic before she panicked.

Her footsteps here muted as she entered the cargo port. "Lailic?" She whispered loudly, her voice carrying over several rows of food and supplies.

Lailic hurried to the cargo storage. The path she took was surprisingly bare. She felt a knot growing in her stomach. She slipped into the cargo storage and heard foot steps as the door closed quietly hissed closed. She sharply inhaled and hurried to hide behind some bins. She counted in her head. "1...2...3...4..." The door opened and she felt her heart pounding. "Please be May please be May.." Her jaw clenched.

She exhaled upon hearing her name and stepped out. "Hey." She said coming out behind the bins. " I'm glad you made it. The ships over here. Let's get going before..." She trailed off and smiled. "Well I'm sure you're aware." She headed to the small ship Windows dotted the walls. She caught glimpses of the world outside. "Home is somewhere out there," she thought. "May and I, we'll find it."
