[Startedraining]

May reached out and clutched Lailic's hand, offering support for herself and for her companion. "Now what? I've forgotten. I'm panicking."
She was, her heart has never raced so much. There was a calm air about May, she was able to hide her feelings well enough, but this was more than she could stand, she was pacing silently and her face was twisted in worry. "What if we get caught..."

[Lailic]

Lailic squeezed her hand. "Now we get out of here. The ship is over here." She knew it would be a task to get away. It would feel like such a long time. however it would only be a few moments. Lailic motioned for May to follow her into the ship. She's been fixing it up the past few days. Hopefully what she'd done would be enough.

[Startedraining]

May hurried to the ship, carefully pulling the door open. The hydraulics were lubricated and it made no sound. May glanced nervously at Lailic, "After you."

[Lailic]

Lailic grinned, her pulse speeding up. This was it. She climbed inside the ship and put her stuff down. She then walked over to the controls. She took a breath and flipped up a switch. The ship powered up and she began to shake a little. Glancing back at May she nodded, ready to close the door and open the exit port. Everything would be sucked out of the room once she did. Once the door was open everyone would know that they'd gotten away. Only they wouldn't know it was them. Not a first. She just hoped nobody would come in before they were able to leave. Her greatest fear was being caught.

May jerked forward to secure all of their belongings before Lailic began the ship's start up. She tied them to extra seats behind the cockpit.
The then headed to the front, "Buckle up, buttercup." May's confidence was returning, a cool facade of composure rested over her face. May sat down in the passenger seat and strapped herself in. She scanned the switches before finding the shuttle lock. The doors in the back clicked locked and the cockpit was sealed from the inside.
"Ready?"

Lailic started up the ship and the doors to the outside begun to open. She steered the ship forward towards freedom. She because more confident, more sure, as the moments flew by. Red lights begun to flash. They know. She wasn't sure if they knew who or how but they knew. She didn't plan to stick around to find out what they would do to them. The door to the outside wasn't open all the way yet. There wasn't time. She could hear the running troops the door opening with its serpent hiss... Then it dawned on her. A little green button

Green was such a friendly color. One that usually meant plants and life. It was okay to go. Green meant all of these things. She pussed the button, lasers fired at the door. Burning through what was blocking their path. She pushed the steering U and the little ship jerked forward. Propelling her and her accomplice out and to freedom.

May's stomach heaved, but not from motion sickness. From now on, they were on the run from the ship that harbored their life for years. She turned back to look, but there were no signs of pursuers. Instead of worrying about that, she turned to look forward, at the huge Earth-like planet that was almost twice as large. The land masses were covered with Rocky Mountain ridges that could be seen from the ship rapidly approaching, and the oceans were deep and blue.

They were free. It hit her like a ton of bricks. She grinned as the larger ship faded away in the distance. They wouldn't want to cause a disruption to the system. A search party wouldn't come after them, and if they did, it would be small. She didn't care though. Lailic whooped and yelled "We're free" perhaps a little too enthusiastically, she just couldn't contain her excitement. The planet loomed ahead, she wondered if they should just go for it, or try their luck finding something that wasn't so close to where they had escaped.

"May... Should we land here or keep going?" The route I mapped has a few planets that may sustain life and be able to support us."

"This isn't an orbital pod, I'm not sure that if we land we'll be able to lift off. If we do we have to land near the equator, is there any land seemingly life sustaining down there?" May replied to Lailic, peeking down the sun guarded glass of the ship's head. She tried to calculate how much fuel they would need to lift off once again.

[Lailic]

Lailic looked towards the planet and then at May. "Well there is something of a plains..forest situation going on. However when landing we'd have to be careful as to avoid landing in what looks like a dead zone. I don't think it would be hard to land in the plains." She shrugged. "We'd have have to be a little careful about how we land."
