How beautiful! I love the colors and the detail in the first image, particularly. The golden tones are lovely!

A quick sketch of two roleplay characters! ^^ I know there's a bunch wrong with em(esp. the first), but I'm mainly trying out shading techniques, haha.

I've always been really obsessed with mythology and history, so when I found a beautiful mesh in the majour arcana tarots, I knew I had to anthropomorphise them. xP First up is the Hierophant, because who doesn't love trump cards and the history of deifying pointiffs? cx

Just me? Alright. Well, next up are the moon and the sun, stay tuned, I guess~

Shading and sketching are my favorite parts as well. xP I also love coloring, but I absolutely loathe lining. xD I still think yours is better though x)

Haha Speaking of the rest of them:

Here's XIX: The Sun! cx Hopefully I'll have his sister done by today.

Thank you for the compliments, ahhh!!!! I'm very pleasantly surprised that someone else is invested in tarots!!! <3

As for the mesh that inspired me; I'm a real big history/mythology nut, so the general historical context of the creation of the tarot cards really piqued my interest, and that, combined with the mythic tarot deck, made me want to anthropomorphizes them. cx For example, during that time, the pope was sovereign in most of Europe/the HRE, and you can see that reflected in many of the decks; the Hierophant was synonymous with the High Priest, and the repetition of threes represented the irl papacy's control over the three facets of life, etc. etc. That's also why the Hierophant was the first to be drawn. xP

Gosh, I feel; tbh I honestly just skip lining and go directly to colouring 'cause most of my art is lineless anyways. xD Or I'll just clean up the sketch lines and use those, haha.

I will fite you on who is better with shading/depth. e.e (psst: it u)

The Magician took a bit longer because I was struggling a little with proportion and perspective, but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out! I might line/colour it later. c:
