My ancestors got banished from Scotland and had to come to the colonies of America. They landed in Maryland I think?

My ancestry is best summarized as "assorted set, mostly european", but I know that the line where my surname is from were most likely once pumpkin farmers! I also know that one great-great-great-something grandmother on my dad's side was adopted, and that this made for some shock when my dad was looking into our genealogy. What he says my grandma said when he was asking her questions: "how do you know she wasn't Polish (like the other side of the family largely is)?" "well, she didn't look Polish...."

It's really neat seeing the different backgrounds and histories of everyone!

I don't know many details or any exciting things about most of my ancestors, but I do know that the line of my surname comes from Luxembourg, immigrated to the States in 1851 to Wisconsin, moved to Minnesota before 1880, and my great-great-grandfather came to Canada in the early 1900's to expand the farm and most of that farm is still held by my immediate and extended family. ^-^ I think most of the rest of the family is still in the States except for those descended from my great-great-grandfather.

Other than that, I know I'm a mix of Luxembourger, Irish, Norwegian, English, Scottish (Scandinavian), and others, so basically I'm a Heinz 57. XD

I don't know much, a family member made a family tree once but it wasn't decently made. My mother's side comes from a lineage of fishermen. They're from the Netherlands, I'm the first generation that is born in Belgium and has no Dutch accent haha.
I don't know much about my father's side. Purebred Belgians as far as I'm aware haha.
