When did you start riding: When I was about 6, I started with barrel racers who rode in the ring beside my house. Then I moved to the YMCA where they taught jumping, and now I'm at a barn that does dressage, so I've been riding for a while. XD

What style do you ride: I mostly answered this in the first part, but mainly dressage, and a bit of jumping here and there.

What breed of horse/pony is your favourite: Appaloosa because I own one. ^^

Ah, another dressage fan! I've done novice level, but no further! Max used to be really respondent to the aids, so he was brilliant to do dressage on, but Rambo has an incredibly hard mouth and also tends to ignore aids.

I'm only up to training level myself, but my instructor is schooling forth level.
Victor is a really quick learner (I think most apps are) but he has a tendency to get bored. I think he'd make a really good eventer, but my instructor doesn't teach jumping or cross country.

Is there anywhere round about you can hack to and use their jumping facilities. Me and my friend go to the neighboring farm on our days off for the use of their cross country course, which is amazing.

Just for interest, do you have a picture of Victor? I'll post a link to Rambo and Max. :)

Edit: Through the ears of Rambo

Unfortunately no. The horse community here isn't really that big, and the farms that are here are pretty spread out.

Yeah, I do. Here he is

That's really unlucky. :( Can your instructor be persuaded? Jumping really is one of the moat exciting sports.....

He's stunning! I've always loved Appaloosas but in England they are few and far between. My all time favourite breed is the Fresian, which I just adore.

Not really. ^^" She rode on the equestrian team when she was in collage, and I think that must've been so intense that she had no interest in jumping much. She's not a risk-taking or thrill-seeking person. And she always has a lot going on so she can't take me to a place that has a jumping facility. There are a few jumping standards at the farm, so I set up cross rails every now and again, but I probably won't ever jump much higher than that. XD

We did go on a trail ride a year or so ago, and they had logs set up here and there. I would jump over those, so I guess that was a bit like cross country. XD

Friesians are amazing. The horse that my instructor owns is actually a Friesian- Arab cross, though the Percheron cross looks more like a Friesian than he does. XD
