I actually haven't even finished my story. The holidays were so busy and stressful I barely had any time or energy to sit and work on it. I have worked on it a little since then, but I keep putting it off thinking I'll have more time to work on it once this one thing is finished, but then another thing comes up, and then another, and it keeps getting delayed. Stupid start of a new year...

I don't know whether I should wait until I have a better handle on things, or just do it and add the pressure to write everyday and finish it onto my already big ball of stress.

im not done with my story either, I had a skeletal for the first draft so Im building the flesh of the novel right now

So I just signed up (It's not really signing up you can use your NaNo info for it) for Camp NaNo with the understanding I'd probably fail again.

But!!!

I will attempt to fail in a glorious way that will help me be better at things.

So, is anyone else signing up?

Thank you for posting, you reminded me to go sign up.

So I did, I signed up.

Do I know what I want to write?
Nope.

This'll be interesting as I'm going in with no plan... at all.

Well you know you can write fanfiction and it counts absolutely

Write Eld fanfiction

I was thinking about it, actually, but I never finished the story I started in November and I think it's about time I did.

Maybe try a random prompt generator?

I'm actually working on a little story about some of my Eldsonas right now, so I might just start something (I'd like to finish the rather long story I'm working on now though). Still... that does sound like a pretty good idea.

A prompt generator works as well.

I donno I still have time, so I think I'll just take it slow and figure it out.

Urgh. Is that time of year again? Bleh. XP

I think I'll be sitting out Camp NaNo. I'm still recovering from November.

Can I ask how Camp NaNo is different from regular NaNoWriMo? I've only ever participated in November.

Do. It.

And post it on the site, so everyone can stop by every day and bug you encourage you to finish it. XP The world needs more Eldemore fanfiction. Do it. Do it for the children. Do it for the baby otterlings, you guys!

For anyone who's planning to sign up and hasn't yet, there's only four more days until cabin assignment! I've signed up for a random one- this should be interesting, at least!

I have fond memories of last year's Camp Nano, but I think doing it again this year will amount in too much stress. :/

So it's almost that time again, November is gonna be here really soon! Who's all thinking of taking part this year? ^-^

I skipped last year, but I think I'm going to have another go this year.

I'm on the fence. If I do, it'll be as a rebel, and I'll either use it for rewriting/editing the novel I finished last year (but that's not really something I like rushing, so probably not), or just use it as a motivator to write something new everyday. Or maybe work on my comics, but I still have so much research and planning to do on those. Other then that novel and various other story/art related projects of mine, I haven't been doing much writing outside of short stories lately, and don't really want to start a new "serious" project until I get further along in those.

I like the idea of writing just something random everyday. I think that could be fun. It won't be as hard (or as fulfilling) as regular NaNo - like I won't have something complete I can point to and be proud of, but I'll least get into that habit of writing more, and I can join in and cheer everyone else on! ^^
