This is the U.S.S. Avenger, the first of a new class of battle ships, the NTX-Class Starunners. It has the latest technology, including weapons systems and defense systems. It can reach a speed above the most recent fastest hyperspeed, able to travel up to hyperspeed 10, ten times faster than the speed of light. Its sleek and agile build allows it to maneuver quickly, and while it has good defense systems, its sleek and agile build does make it a little more susceptible to taking more damage than other class ships, like the ATX-Class Reaper ships. Inside, the Avenger has quarters for all of the crew, a medical bay where people can go for medical attention, a food court that also serves as a sort of recreational center, a gym for exercise and training, an armory, and a command bridge, the ship's brain.

Reports have been received of their forces massing in sector TR-234, weapons aimed at the Orion system... Worker's log: Star date July 23, 2633 - The new ship is almost finished, complete with first-class weapons and defense systems, including canons, phasers, torpedoes, and a variety of shields plus a hull made of the strongest, most durable metals yet. There are a few electrical issues to work out on the inside, but once she's finished this will be the first ship of a new class, the vanguard of battleships, the strongest of the Coalition's battle cruisers yet. Her design is sleek and durable, allowing for speedy and agile maneuvering and able to take a few hits while dealing back massive damage.

The Kyroth are an intelligent, advanced race evolved from reptilian creatures on the planet of Naclov in the Epsilon Andromeda system. For reasons still unknown, they have made it clear that they are out to destroy the human race. A Kyroth stands about 8 Earth feet tall, with a heavy build. They have what can only be called exoskeletons, with red eyes that almost seem to glow against their red-tinted skin. They wear no armor or clothing, for they have no need to. Each hand has four claws, two on the left being much longer, sometimes reaching up to 14 inches. Some have a thicker, more muscly build than others, but they are mostly the same, with the strength to match.
Log of Communications Officer of U.S.S. Intrepid, Alexa Walker: Star date August 30, 2592 - We have come across a new ship carrying a new race we have not encountered before. It is clear this is an advanced race, the ship holding technology we have yet to discover. Captain Archibald had me make contact with them. Their language is similar to that of the Boros', but rougher with more clicks. Still, I managed to understand most of it, enough to tell us they were not as friendly as they seemed. They have scanned our ship and we await their next move.
Log of Commander Donahue of U.S.S. Novak: Star date April 13, 2603 - We've found the home planet of the new species, the Kyroth, as they call themselves. It is a rough, rocky terrain with darkness 17 hours out of 19. They have much technology we do not, yet for transportation, they use mounts known as Vulcoroth, terrifying carnivorous creatures of great strength with excellent vision, speed, balance, hearing, and smell. Each is about 15 feet long and 10 feet tall, with vicious teeth. Let's just say I hope not to be near one again any time soon.
Log of Captain Nakamura of U.S.S. Stryker: Star date October 18, 2620 - It's the third day of our struggle against the Kyroth. The arrival of the Mariner and the Valiant has made our odds better, but we are still in a dire situation and await more forces from the Coalition. It will take a few more days for them to arrive, but I have a feeling we are just scraping the tip of the ice berg.

personality » In general, one might describe Devon as a serious, business-like person. He's one who likes to get things done and is has that leader-like personality that allows him to help keep others on task too. This isn't to say, of course, that he's all work and no play, since he is still quite far from that. Sure, he's serious, but he can still crack a good joke or two when needed, and he greatly enjoys having fun with his friends and family. One of the most important qualities he has is the fact that he cares. He always cares deeply for his friends and family, even if it may not seem like it at some times. If needed, he'd be willing to sacrifice himself if it meant saving them, and he'd do it in the blink of an eye with no regrets. Devon is a stickler for respect, and will get at least irritated with people who don't show others the respect they deserve. Yet, that doesn't mean he wants the people below him calling him things like 'boss' or 'captain' all the time. He is more of the informal type of guy who likes more a family-type relationship between him and his crew. All of this can make him a bit temperamental, but most of the time, he's pleasant and sometimes even quite fun to be around. Basically, while he can be a little tight on some things like respect and responsibility and getting things done, Devon is generally a laid-back guy who also likes a nice, comfortable environment where everyone feels at ease with everyone else.
