Red triangle

When i select pets to trade some get a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it what does this mean

This is to signify to you that the pet is in another trade. You can still select it; however, the first trade that accepts will automatically cancel the other trade with that same pet in it.

It's a way to remind you that the pet is already being offered so that you know which one not to select (if you do not want the trade to cancel).
