I assume you're talking about trying to change groups when you're setting up a trade with someone? If so, make sure your javascript is enabled, or nothing will work.

I see that new users are not allowed to post pictures or links, does this count for signatures? I'd like to make my signature but I'll hold off if I'm not allowed to yet. Also when does the "new member" thing wear off, and does the link/image rule count for links to other forum pages/links to pets/pictures of pets from this site?

Yes, you can have images and urls in your signature. You just can't have images in your posts. And the "New User" status will wear off after your first five posts.

what do the stone colors mean? I can't seem to find a guide or anything as to what color means what rarity..

There will be an actual guide with the correct rarity colors around September 1st. At that time I will update the official rarity list in the Trading Post section and include this guide to help everyone adjust to the new system. If you click on any creature in your homestead it should say what the rarity of each stone is. Right now everything is unknown.

Basic Stone Guide:

Black= unknown rarity
Diamond= Ultra Rare
Ruby= Rare
Sapphire= Uncommon
Emerald= Common
Amber= Ultra Common
