@Akronite I haven't watched it yet but I did see the trailer; honestly, none of the characters really seem to appeal for me except for Harley Quinn, and the general premise is... Meh. cx Glad I'm not the only one who thought so!

I went to see Kubo yesterday, and let me say; absolutely incredible. For top motion, the animation is soooo smooth and spot on, and while it might feel a bit rushed at a few parts, it tells an incredible tale of the morality of man and accepting the death of your loved ones. The Japanese influence is also very strong, and the last twenty minutes are honestly some of the best scenes(in an animated film) that I have ever seen. Laika Animation is such an incredible company.

I went and watched Sausage Party a few weeks back and by god, it was absolutely awful! My friends fiancee paid for the tickets and i was gonna pay him back, but he said don't worry about it. I still feel bad about that now, the film was honestly that terrible.
Came home and told my parents/brother how bad it was and what happened and yeah, made my brother want to see it just to see if it really is that dreadful as some of his friends are saying it's good.

Been spoiled with the cinema this month. I paid for me and my brother to watch "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" a few weeks ago and it was alright. Nothing too special and pretty okay to be honest. Not nearly what i was expecting as the trailer looked rather good. However the main character- Newt Scamander- was pretty cool.

Then he paid for us to watch "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" today and i wasn't holding out much hope (despite the trailer looking decent) however i actually want to watch it again to be honest. It was really good- the characters were all great, the story was nice and the effects were awesome. Go see it everyone!

Thoughts on the trailers we saw.
Guardians Of The Galaxy 2- No, just no.
King King: Skull Island- Looks awesome- might go see it when it comes out!
Lego Batman- Hmmm, looked kinda good actually. Wouldn't watch it till it went on the movies though i expect.

The only thing I've seen in the last few months is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I know it's had fairly mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed it, personally, and really want to go see it again. XD

@Viola I personally liked Split until the very end; I didn't very much like the themes that it painted about abuse and self harm, which was a pity; it was such an interesting concept. Don't Breathe will remain my favourite modern horror movie. xP

I did recently go see Hidden Figures and Moonlight as well, and I've gotta say; both are such incredible movies. I'm a very big plot person (I'll watch for plot more than anything; crappy CGI, whatever) and the dialogue between the characters was so finessed and so incredible it was breathtaking. Even characters without speaking roles, well, spoke volumes through just their physical interactions; I highly recommend both films.

Oh, and La La Land. Which was... okay, haha.
