I'm absolutely addicted! I've walked 10 miles in the past couple days because of it!

(Moved to Entertainment forum. I think it fits a little better here. ^^)
I downloaded the game, but I can't say I've done much with it other than turn it on every couple of days to see if there are Pokémon lurking around my house. It's been really hot here, 100+ deg F, so I can't gather up much motivation to go running down the road for Pokémon. XD

I DL'd it two days ago, but other than a trip to a grocery store to shop, I haven't gone out of my house and Pokémon GO'd much haha. Mainly because^ same, it's getting pretty hot where I live, and I haven't the energy, heat tolerance or time to go out specifically for the game. I'm really looking forward to playing the game more, though! Haven't chosen a team yet lol
Reading all the Tweets and news stories about players' experiences with/while playing the game is quite amusing

Does anyone know what happens when you evolve an eevee? Is it random or do you choose?

I didn't get to chose, but I'm not quite sure if it's completely random (I ended up evolving a Flareon)
We drove into a little sort of tourist town today and I caught so many new Pokémon! I don't get to walk around all that much since my house is in a cul-de-sac near a highway, but when I go into town I find a lot (Team Mystic!)

Evolving your pokemon will double their CP, from what I've experienced.
There's a battery saver option in the settings menu, holding your phone upside down will darken the screen but the game will still run. ^u^

Ahhh I ran out of pokeballs, and nothing I do seems to increase my xp; not evolving pokemon, transferring them, nothing. DX Is there any way I can get xp, without going to a gym?
You get XP from catching Pokemon and going to pokestops, which also give you pokeballs.
