One of my brothers bought a phone for the primary purpose of being able to play Go with those of us who had it already.

What's everyone's favorite pokemon that they have on their team yet? I'm very happy with my Pinsir.

I'm rather fond of my Cubone. Or maybe my Haunter, I can't decide.

I'm so excited; I'm going back home to visit some of my friends and we're going downtown to catch Pokémon! I haven't seen them forever so it should be really fun (hoping the weather holds out for us.)

Currently I really love my Seadra! What a cutie. cx Gosh I really hope Pokemon go works in China, I need to play!!! xP

    ALSO THANKS STAR!!!!

Oh, and some CP tips I learned today from my super meta friends:

    - Jack up the cp before you evolve! It costs less and the cp boost is usually larger.
    - CP apparently doesn't double with evolves??? It scales slightly with the amount of candies needed to evolve; 12 candies is less of a boost than 50, etc. etc. (but it still pays to power before because it's apparently on a multiplayer sort of deal)
    - The higher your trainer level, the higher the cp boost per power; unless you're very involved with gyms and the like, save your power until you get to, say, level twelve.
    - Not high enough level? No problem! Grab a group of friends and take a gym(it has to be a gym currently capped by another team), because multiple people can fight at the same time. After it's defeated, claim it with a very low cp Pokemon, and keep it at level one. Then, send in your low cp Pokemon to fight! While it may be slow going as you can only fight with one Pokemon at a time for a friendly gym, each gym win will boost that pokemon's cp and your prestige and xp.

    //EDIT: Some more tips:
    - Trying to grind levels, and low on pokeballs? Head to your nearest pokestop, and set up a lure and pop a lucky egg. If you're dangerously low, try to catch exclusively pidgeys, weedles, caterpie, etc. etc; basically, anything that only takes twelve candies to evolve. Spam that evolve button, man! Each twelve-candy evolve will get you 1200 xp, and plus the 200+ xp from the pokemon catch, you can bag 1400+ xp per pokemon catch.
    - Certain terrain means a certain likelyhood of pokemon! Ghost types prefer nighttime, water types prefer water(of course), and gas stations/power stations are favoured by fire and electric types.

I just spent some of the afternoon being driven around and found a couple of nice Pokémon, the most exciting of which were a Squirtle, Gastly, Tangela and Magmar. I also found out that there are two gyms kind of close to me, probably would take 20 - 30 minutes to walk there but are across a highway with no lights sooo I'll probably end up driving there.

It was a very productive afternoon. XP My friend and I are going into town tomorrow afternoon to visit some Pokestops and gyms. It should be fun. ^^

I spent a good thirty minutes biking around trying to find this Rhydon, figured out it was in the middle of a private, gated golf course, bike home sad, and once I enter my garage there is one. -_-

Still, cp 543~ totally worth it not really xD

Nearby Pokemon have been taking so long to spawn for me. I waited for a Drowzee for 20 minutes!

:( Mom's phone the only device we own that supports pokemon go. But now, YAYYYYY she caved in and let me use it. Got 10 pokemon in 5 min, and that's just in my backyard! Sadly its night so I cant go hunt much but there's a gym not 1/2 a mile away a from me so double yay! Also the Walmart down the road is a pokestop+ a gym so I should be set with my nice bike to drive around.

My dad's workplace is surrounded by pokestops, and often has at least one lure going nearby, so Pokemon Go has been an excellent reason to visit him at work! Both he and I caught a scyther while I was there, and their CP was pretty impressive! I don't remember the exact number, but before powering them up mine was somewhere in the high 600 range or low 700 range.
