If you were a Gem, what would you be?: well, if i went based on my birthstone, i'd be a tourmaline, but i'd probably like to be an aquamarine.

When Sapphire started humming the tune from "Stronger Than You", I absolutely squealed. The entire episode was super cute! I adored the background when they first arrived on earth, too.

It was neat to see the Pearl(?) beside Blue Diamond in the beginning of the story. I wonder why that Pearl looked different than Pearl of the Crystal Gems, yet all of the Rubies looked the same in all but their gem placement. Do gems from the Homeworld need to reform in the exact same way whenever they reform after having their physical forms destroyed? Do they have a default starting appearance, and none of those Rubies had ever been poofed before?

I can't wait to see the next episode, but I worry a bit for what may be to come!

I had been hoping there would be a Ruby/Sapphire duet since they released the description/promo for this episode. I had the biggest grin on my face for like the entire episode, too cute! The art for the whole flashback was wonderful, backgrounds especially~

Perhaps pearls get to be 'customized' for whoever they belong to? In Back to the Barn, Peridot did say that pearls were made-to-order servants. As for the identical rubies, maybe it's a uniform type of thing or maybe they just weren't allowed to be different.

Also Blue Diamond is really big wow. Big scary blue lady

What a wonderful episode to start off the Stevenbomb. Everyone get your party hats on, next up is Steven's Birthday!

She really tries so hard in "Barn Mates". I wonder what sort of dynamic there's meant to be between her and Lapis? I'd be lying if I said I didn't think they'd make a cute couple. It may be too soon to say for sure, but Peri seems to place a lot of value on whether Lapis likes her or not.
