Auction Rules

You may only auction or offer pets that you currently own.

You must provide a clear end date at the start of an auction. No auction may last longer than 1 month. If an unsuccessful auction has ended you are free to start a new one once old bids have been cleared out.

You must be an active member of Eldemore to participate/hold auctions involving off-site trades. We no longer allow for members to off-site trade Eldemore pets if you are not active in some way (in-site trades, pet collecting or forum activity) on the site.

You cannot add more boosters and autoes once an auction has started. Do not ask or pressure bidders to keep adding more pets to their offer. Ex: If you have a Silverleaf listed as an auto and someone offers a Silverleaf, you cannot then change the auto to Silverleaf+Elderwind.

You have 24 hours maximum to accept or cancel an Auto. Autos are considered an 'automatic win'. You cannot hold out on an auto for days in hopes of a better offer. It's extremely frustrating for bidders that offer exactly what an auctioneer wants and still have to wait days for a decision.

Auctions do not require autos or boosters. Some people prefer to hold an auction and choose a winner based on preference or overall value. If you run an auction you need to let bidders know what you are looking for. Ex: You are looking for quantity of a hoard pet.

Be respectful toward the member holding the auction and the participating bidders. Do not harass other members for any reason. Do not mock or be rude to others for winning or losing.

You must post a link for each bid. You cannot claim to have certain bids or offers without proof.

Auctioneers reserve the right to end an auction without a winner. Just as it's not ok for auction holders to pressure bidders to offer more, it is unacceptable for bidders to pressure the auctioneer into accepting a bid they are not happy or comfortable with.

Auctions can be a very successful way for members to trade for large quantities or valuable pets that they either want or are missing. If you are constantly stressed, irritated or disappointed by auctions it may be a good idea to take a break from them and try again at a later time.

*Updated November 25th to specify that you cannot auction or offer pets you do not own.
