Raffle Pet Archive

Postby Benathorn » Wed Feb 03, 2016 2:23 am

Until we have an official section for our special raffle pets to be archived in our site codex, I will be listing them here for everyone to view at their convenience. The raffle sets here will list the pets from the raffle batch, their names, the artist who designed them, release date and their lore blurb as well.

This thread will remain locked to help keep things organized. I will be updating it each month as raffles continue, so feel free to refer to this thread to view the past pets and their info.

Okapi Elkrin

The elusive Okapi elkrin are solitary creatures rarely seen even among their elvian brethren. Out of the seven elvian forest kingdoms, they reside in only one woodland in particular -- the dense forests of the Noctis Woods. This kingdom is found far to the north and is one of the more reclusive elvian kingdoms. Rarely do they allow outsiders within their realm, even of their own kind, and even fewer still have ever caught a glimpse of their Okapi elkrin mounts, of which only they are known to ride upon.

The Okapi elkrin, like their masters, are also reclusive creatures. They are highly cautious of anything new, preferring to bolt at the slightest hint of danger, never to be seen again. Only the Noctis elvians truly understand these skittish beasts, and it is only they whom they trust to lead them. However, the most unique traits about them is their ability to see in almost pure darkness, be it magical or natural. Their eyes pierce the depths of the night, allowing them to traverse their nocturnal woodland home, which seems wrapped in a perpetual midnight. Because of this, they are one of the few elkrin that can traverse any terrain when the sun has set, making them invaluable mounts to the Noctis elvian kingdom and their forest of beautiful twilight.

Delphinidae Otterlings

"The playful Delphinidae otterling are commonly spotted along the coasts and warfs that line Eldemore's southern coast, especially around the oriental isles. They are extremely social and can often be spotted playing with swimmers and sailors. This, coupled with their high intelligence, allows them to be taught simple tricks, which they can often be seen doing for treats or attention. Even without training it is not uncommon for the Delphinidae otterling to be seen bouncing beachballs, bouys and floats off their noses and tails as they amuse themselves.

Despite the highly social, good nature of these otterlings, they are not suited to life in small bodies of water or enclosed areas. They are highly migratory and require large areas to swim, find food and maintain their mental health. They have been observed bonded to sailors and pirates, diving in and out of the water cast up by the boat or playing in the warm southern waves." ~Written By: KittyCatKita

Poisonous Cuttlefish

"Poisonous cuttlefish are found in almost every region of Eldemore's eleven seas. Though some are more common than others, they inhabit various depths and display a variety of morphs within their species. Sailors often warn against making wishes upon these colorful little guys, mainly due to the toxins they excrete from their skins when plucked from the waters or when they feel threatened. Those who do favor them, however, are often Necromancers and herbalists who value their poisons for both healing and harmful properties. It is said their poisons can fell a bull drake within seven minutes, and a human in half that time. Regardless, it is best to be cautious around the hoards of poisonous cuttlefish that catch the eye of many. Though they may appear charming they are anything but when held."

Seasonal Elkrin

Seasonal elkrin are rare and beautiful elkrin that typically stay hidden away in the wilderness, though there have been accounts throughout history showing their presence in almost every corner of the realm. They have been spotted by mere men on only a few occasions, most often during the season for which they are named. Since they blend in perfectly with their surroundings, these elkrin tend to be mistaken for a tree, but if one starts moving, you may catch a glimpse of it before it vanishes into the misty forest.

Those who have seen these beautiful creatures are said to have immense luck for the rest of the year, however it is said that anyone who witnesses a Seasonal elkrin outside of their season will have their luck turn sour. ~Written by KittyCatKita

Alabaster Twilight Servals

Crepuscular in nature, the Alabaster Twilight Servals are a rare sight, not because there are few around, but because they blend in so well with their environment. They stalk the rooftops of Alabaster City when the light begins to fade, hiding on widow sills, jumping between chimneys, and slinking around statuary and Gargoyle Runes. They are expert hunters and thieves, never seen, and leaving no trace of their small felonies.

The Seekers consider it exceptional good luck to have one show itself to you. As they know every nook, and cranny, and hiding space in the city, they have occasionally been known to lead their fellow thieves to find sanctuary. Cunning and sleek, these Servals are at home in any part of the city, from it's tallest towers, to it's darkest sewers. Just be sure your windows are locked tight! ~Written by Silverhart

Make sure you've got plenty of room for them to run and a whole lot of things for them to play with or they will tear apart your life with gusto and tiny puppy teeth. They get along best with other hounds and tend to bark at and chase most Servals. So if you're in the market for a loving loyal companion, look no further! ~Written by Grifforik

Feather Art Griffins

When one sees a Feather Art griffin, they are awestruck at the beauty of these lithe creatures. These griffins are highly prized due to the intricate, detailed designs that grace their feathers, which is described to be as though they have been painted on with a skilled brush. These creatures are quite amiable and are often quite willing to be brushed and fussed over, though it is always advised to be alert to the claws and beak. If a feather is pulled or damaged, they can be quick to blame their attacker, usually leaving a mark to remember the encounter. Feather Art griffins have been an inspiration to many people over the decades, who have emulated their beauty by getting tattoos in the style found on their favourite griffin. ~Written by KittyCatKita

Bombus Chillawings

Contrary to their names, bombus chillawings do not actually blow up. Despite their large body mass and tiny insect-like wings, the bombus chillawing somehow gets their pudgy bodies off the ground to navigate surprisingly well throughout the elvian forests of Eldemore, making these little guys a menace to food stores as pests.

They are proficient honey raiders, using their disguised, massive bodies to trick humming bumbles into not attacking them during a raid. It is like a wolfkin taping elkrin antlers to their head and pretending to be an elvian prince. That is how the bombus chillawings do. ~Written by: Tyasi

Color Me Cuttlefish

The first rainbow of the year hit the waves of the eastern sea, casting a prism upon a clutch of eggs. With this special moment of color and life, the Color Me Cuttlefish were created. Each was born with a color of the rainbow and the power of the light in their bodies. However, soon after hatching they were separated in a great storm that ravaged the sea. Now they travel the oceans searching for their lost siblings, knowing they are meant to be together like the rainbow who gave them their color. ~Written by: RainbowFinch
