Spirits of Creation

The seeds of creation reside in all of us. None know that better then the Spirits of Creation. Legend has it that the lineages of these Sleipnir go back thousands of years, inspiring great storytellers, painters, bards, sculptors, and artists of all types. Their hide is adorned with the tales of great creators of the past, reminders to all of the power of creation.

The Spirit of Creation Sleipnir are vehicles of raw creative force and often serve as muses for their chosen riders. In general they are very friendly, intelligent, and playful creatures, often blessing random passersby with a kiss from their velvety noses, inspiring them to create something new. But they aren't always so gentle with their magic...

When faced with the most dreaded of creative blocks they have been known to knock down doors and deliver a hard kick to whoever's in need of a bolt from the blue. But they do require a disciplined and dedicated caretaker. Without proper training and control, they'll get up to all sorts of mischievous tricks, and will provide absolutely no help to anyone whatsoever, no matter how many carrots you bribe them with. Creativity is a fickle thing like that. ~Written by: Silverhart

Woolen Jackalopes

These cute, wooly Jackalopes have been bred specifically for their coat. Every year they are sheared and their soft, curly wool is used to make very warm clothing for the winter. They are bouncy creatures who love to hop around and head butt things when they are happy. You will rarely find a sad Woolen Jackalope, but make sure you take care of it because their coats never stop growing!~Written by: RainbowFinch

Koi Elkrin

Originating from the Oriental Isles, koi elkrin are a reclusive species that keep to the misty springs and hidden rivers of their island home. Far more shy than most of their kind, koi elkrin keep their distance, preferring a life of solitude away from their own and that of other creatures or humans. They are fearful of the outside world near their chosen water source and dare not leave their home for how much they are prized for their beautiful hide and water blessings.

Those of the isle say that if a koi elkrin is spotted, there is surely a pure and ancient spring nearby that is safe to drink. Many believe that the waters blessed by the koi elkrin heal the elderly and sick, prompting many to desperately seek them out, either for aid or profit. Sadly, this has led to their near extinction, with only one or two sightings being mentioned every decade or so as they continue to dwindle into mere myths and legends.~Written by: Benathorn

Penguin Chillawings

These Chillawings can be found along Eldemore's southern coast and the isles surrounding it, such as the Oriental Isles and, very rarely, the Ashmoors. Unlike many Chillawings, whose fur is so dense that they would become unhealthy if they became wet, these Chillawings spread oils throughout their coat to keep themselves waterproof as adults. They will gladly join their bond in the water, or cause a bit of mischief by swimming off for a while on an outing. When petted, they quickly groom themselves after to replenish their natural oils.

While their baby fluff tends to be a fuzzy, fairly indistinct grey, they become a more contrasting black-and-white as they grow. Be careful of their baby fur, since it is not yet waterproof!~Written by: Sphye

Deep Sea Servals

Found along the coasts and rivers of Eldemore, the Deep Sea Servals are a secretive breed of which little information has been documented. Many sightings result in wives' tales of impending death or disaster. This is not the case for those who truly come to know these creatures. They are greatly misunderstood and are actually very peaceful, preferring to remain by themselves.

These servals are primarily a nocturnal breed that has the unique ability to produce a bioluminescent glow which is used to attract their prey. On some late, rare nights, they can be spotted sitting along the edges of rivers and ocean shores, using their glow to bring in fish for their supper.~Written by: KittyCatKita

Polar Ligers

Polar Ligers are most at home far into the poles of Eld, or high in the mountains where the temperatures are low and the snow is deep. Their thick coats help to protect them against the elements and insulate them against the howling winds that can build across these treeless landscapes. Known for their resourcefulness, the Polar Ligers forage and hunt using their natural camouflage and surroundings which has helped these creatures to become some of the hardiest and most plentiful in these harsh habitats. These ligers are often told of in the myths and legends of those who live in these areas and are admired for their fierce and stubborn survival skills.~Written by: KittyCatKita

Butterfly Griffins

Butterfly Griffins are smaller than your average griffin. Docile and shy, they only eat nectar. Their fancy wing patterns are used for both mating and protection; when startled or threatened they flash their wings and scare away their enemies. These sweet little Griffins can be found wandering forests and gardens, if you put out the right flowers and trees, they will certainly show up in your backyard.~Written by: RainbowFinch

Neon Pastel Rune Drakes

Neon Pastel Rune Drakes are bio-luminescent, their colorful patterns most vibrant in the dark, and as such, many of them are nocturnal. Most can be found in caves, coming out at night to feed. Some prefer, however, to remain in plain sight, hiding in patches of wild rose bushes during the day and lunging at unsuspecting creatures who stop by. Tribes in the lands they occupy paint vast lore behind these exotic creatures.

They say that their light is otherworldly, and when the drakes pass away, their glow remains for days. They say that the colors become hypnotic, and sometimes dance away from the drake they occupy into their own being. While often these drakes are solitary, they make wonderful companions and are fiercely protective of their owners. The drakes lifespan is not much longer than a human's, and because they bond so closely, the drake may die of a broken heart when their owner has passed. ~Written by: Startedraining

Cardinal Direction Dire Wolves

(Raffle Pet 2: East Dire Wolf)

(Raffle Pet 3: South Dire Wolf)

Cardinal Direction Dire Wolves

Cardinal Direction Dire Wolves are an unusual breed amongst their species, particularly for their common tendencies to be loners. Preferring a secluded life over the companionship of other dire wolves and their packs, except on the occasions of courtship, these dires were once believed to be extinct because they were so rare to come by, let alone see in the wild.

However, if you know where to look and have Shreya's blessing, you may just come across these elusive canines and their quirky habits. For starters, depending on which dire you are seeking, going in the cardinal direction they represent is the most important step. The rest is just luck, for they are extremely cautious of their surroundings, especially given that in the past, their pelts were highly sought after by those would wanted to make a quick buck on the Black Market.

Mimicking the celestial heavens to a fine detail, there are rumors that these dires seemingly vanish at the precious, peaking point of where the skies match their coats. Do they really disappear? Where do they go? Some even say that they were blessed, or cursed, by the Ancient of Time and can jump dimensions, blessing the realm they visit with the harkening of the dawn, dusk, and so on as they race through the skies. How is that a curse you ask?

Well, what would happen if they didn't visit these realms at those opportune moments? That's a heavy responsibility to carry but I'll leave you with that thought, they are just rumors after all. ~Written by: Scar

Orchid Rune Drakes

These colorful Drakes can be found in most tropical environments, enjoying humidity and heat. Though shy and secretive by nature, usually keeping to themselves in jungles, they are very dangerous. Their colorful bodies are a sign of how deadly they can be, if you get too close or accidentally enter their territory they will attack. They are both venomous and poisonous. ~Written by: RainbowFinch
