Anole Jackalopes

Anole Jackalopes are a common sight in warmer areas of Eldemore, and are often desired as pets for their ease of care and varied colorations. They are easily tamed if caught wild, as difficult as catching this quick critter may be. This curious species is known for their ability to climb steep surfaces and jump off with their powerful back legs to both escape predators and to catch their insect meals.

...Just try not to be in the landing zone when they do. ~Written by: cjr09

Star Eater Basilisks

From darkness they are born and towards the dim light of the stars they forever follow. Local folk have given them a simple name, one that firmly states the intent of the creatures, yet seems to hold a far grimmer end to those drawn to the serpents of old. They call them 'Star Eaters', for by some unholy magic they devour the light of the stars in the night sky that surrounds them, letting the remnants of their luminous feast dot their skin, using the magical light of imitation to draw in their true prey from the forest floors below. Both unsuspecting creature and man who see the moving lights of the stars move through the trees above them, stand transfixed at the sight, ever-still in wonder as the serpents slowly descend upon their meal with glee... as an eternal darkness overtakes their prey in the deathly silence of the starless night. ~Written by: Benathorn

Jewelsmith Griffins

Jewelsmith griffins are a proud breed, much admired for their rare gemstone feathers. These feathers are too lightweight to be cut into jewelry, and yet too heavy to allow the creatures to do more than flap a few feet off the ground. Why have them at all, you might wonder? Well, to impress and make envious other griffins, of course!

These griffins are notoriously difficult to breed because they're so narcissistic, and will accept nothing but the very best. For this reason, they are also hard to bond to, usually requiring many gifts of shiny things and abundant flattery from prospective owners.

Among jewelry makers it is a sign of great wealth and skill to have one bond with you, hence their name: Jewelsmith Griffins. Once befriended, these griffins prove themselves to be steadfast, hardworking, and affectionate companions if you can rein in their massive egos. ~Written by: Silverhart

Lily Ligers

Praised for their grace and beauty, these Ligers are highly sought after by collectors and hunters alike. Colorful and deadly, they're the perfect bond for any aspiring liger keeper.

However, they don't play well with other cats... one bite, and they're liable to poison themselves before they can do any true damage to a Lily Liger. ~Written by: cjr09
