Yeah, yeah..'we're busy' and all that jazz. Whatever. If you can't run this site anymore or don't want to then let someone else do it or just sell the site.

One year or so is one thing but 8 years? They're not coming back and have no intentions to do so.

I agree, even if you can't or don't want to anymore just say that. It feels like they bit off more then they could chew but also simultaneously refused to admit it and just let the site go back and operate like it was. I think it's safe to say with how many people still pop in we cared for and loved the site as is. I assume they just feel bad about the situation at this point and want to move on, which I can understand, but I will always miss this site and I'm honestly just happy they've kept it up all this time at least.

Still logging in from time to time, tho it is getting rarer. I do agree that it's highly unlikely for eldemore to fully come back (a shame, as I really enjoyed the pet designs and story telling - guess we left eldemore for good that time :,) ), however, I'm not angry with anyone and, for now, am just glad this site is still up. Feels like a little space just for myself, where I can click through my silly little pets and enjoy looking at them, still.

Wishing all of you an enjoyable holiday season <3

Well, it sure was a fun ride!
Thanks for the good time, eldemore :)

idk, I know this all started because they were "rewriting the site" (as a lot of sites do before they disappear lmao)
Can we just pick up where we left off on this one??? I don't really see a point in a full rewrite when this one has always worked perfectly fine.
Fingers crossed that this site will come back!
Never mind, anything you see is up for grabs for CS. Rares for rares of the same year, VRs for URs, stores for stores etc.

Now, in 2025, I can understand wanting to rewrite the site since it's current format is showing its age a bit. However, the site could have continued in its current state for quite a while longer beyond 2017. phpBB boards aren't as common as they used to be anymore, and I could see its current format preventing itself from drawing in new users if Eld came back, which would be a problem if they want the game to be sustainable. But with how much time has passed, I'm sure whatever new layout they were initially building is now outdated too and would need rebuilt again. If they didn't have the time to finish that first build, they definitely don't have the time to start over again.

I definitely understand the issue, but I don't think Eld has a future unless they bring more people on board to finish it or sell it off to someone who will, both of which I don't see happening. Its clear that they're willing to pay whatever it costs to keep the site online, but I don't think Eld will see any changes. I think that we will sit in the dark like this until phpBB breaks down and everything under them goes with it.

Regardless, I love this site. Thats why I keep checking in after so many years of nothing. I will continue to come in and visit my pets until the heat death of the Eldemore universe. It's extremely nostalgic for me, I played this game all through high school. I have a lot of fond memories of it. I just wish the game was still around for other people to make good memories, too. And its a shame that won't happen.

I miss Eld so much. :') I may have finally lost all hope for the return of this site. A tiny bit of me will always still hope.

I've been working on a project like Eldemore and Chicken Smoothie for a little while now. It will be closer related to Eldemore style pets and design, rather than CS. I'm hoping to launch in Summer 2026 or by the end of the year.
Now that you've mentioned it, it got me thinking...

I had planned to use phpBB forums since it just works so well with the adoptables PHP script and website design. I have looked into other forum software and it seems to me that none of them (that I've come across) really fit the needs of the site. Though, I've heard phpBB forum software still holds strong today. It may be dated but it's said to be tried and true. Other than age, is there any reason that you know of that makes it not worth using anymore?

Would you or anyone have any ideas of other forum software that I could use for my adoptables website?

And if you could, would you be interested in joining another very similar game as the two aforementioned websites?

Questions are for anyone to answer. Ty c:

While it worked fine as it was for users, monthly and event updates were frequently site-breaking and took many, many hours to implement. The workload wasn't sustainable for Zayin and the whole point of this hiatus was to fix it.

I fear with no set deadline, updating simply lapsed and fell further and further from being a priority, leaving us stranded where we are today. It's highly unfortunate, but it is what it is at this point. While I would love to see any sort of communication, I would be genuinely surprised at this point.
