Monsters have plagued this world from the beginning of time. The arrival of humans only made it even easier
for them to do so, as they used the humans for food to keep them going. Or at least, that's what they tried to
do. What the humans didn't realize is that they had protectors, an angel on their shoulders, if you will.
The angels came in the forms of wolves. Massive wolves that stood about as tall as a grown man with strength
to match. With gifts of enhanced speed, stronger bones, slower aging, and faster healing, this race was perfectly
equipped with the tools needed to protect the human race from the monsters that lived among them. The only
problem is the humans didn't know it. The existence of these wolves was kept secret and the race lived in the
shadows. How did the humans fail to notice these massive wolves? Because they are shifters. Their have the ability
to shift from human form to their wolf form and back again has stemmed the humans' tales of werewolves and
sparked the imaginations of writers, artists, and composers through time because of small, occasional glimpses
they've allowed humans every now and then.
For centuries, these wolves have watched over the human race, keeping them safe from the monsters who would
prey on them. Times are changing, however. Though monsters still plague the humans, they have discovered
the wolves' existence and made the mistake seeing them as the monsters. Not all humans are aware of them, but
those who are aren't always the shifters' friends. Some are against them, and some even go as far as hunting them.
What do they do when the ones they protect turn against them?
