The year's 2634, and humans have made it to the final frontier: space. They've explored their solar system and beyond, forming friendships and creating foes. The most dangerous of their foes is a race known as the Kyroth. For reasons the humans have yet to understand, the Kyroths are out to destroy them. It didn't take long for a war to spring up, the humans and their allies versus the Kyroth. In one of the battles, the Kyroths destroyed the entire human fleet, save for one ship, the USS Avenger. It along with its entire crew escaped, unknown to the Kyroth. Stranded in an unknown sector, cut off from anyone that could help them, it must find a safe place to lie low and hope their allies make it to them before the Kyroth do.
