Echopaw shrugged and meowed, "I'm a bit tired but I want to train some more!"
She smiled and perked her ears towards the sound nearby. Hearing a nibbling noise, she dropped into the crouch like she had a few moments ago and unsheathed her claws. Creeping closer to the sound, she wiggled her haunches and sprang, landing clumsily beside the prey before slipping and falling down. The squirrel clambered away up into a tree. Echopaw's ears and tail drooped, sighing.

Sorry that I don't come on Eldemore a whole lot. I'm getting somewhat busy.

"You were too close, and you jumped too high," Ashenhollow observed, helping him pick himself up. She gave Echopaw a warming smile as his tail drooped. "Let's practice your crouch," she dropped into a crouch, her tail straight and her back arched. Ashenhollow's hind feet were closer to her rump, and her forepaws at her chest. "Copy me."

Echopaw quickly nodded, getting into the same position as his mentor did. As he crouched down, his hind paws slipped, causing him to lose balance and land on his nose. "Ow." Murmered Echopaw, getting up.
Blushing, he did it again, tail brushing the ground gently but not making any movement. "Like this?" He asked, perking his ears.

"Good!" Ashenhollow purred, her eyes filled with praise. She did a double-take on her apprentice's form, and saw few mistakes. "Now, see if you could improve any more" she urged him, dropping into her own crouch as an example.

Echopaw nodded and formed her position, sliding her hind paws up to her chest a bit more as he then lowered down, just enough for his fur to lightly be brushing the ground. Sniffing the air, he decided to impress his mentor more and catch another piece of prey. Scenting a badger, his eyes widened and he turned around and hid behind Ashenhollow. "B-b-badger." Echopaw murmured, his voice shaking with fear.
