IMFORMATION OF JOBS
Clan members Positions:
Leader: He/she leads the clan, and the other members listen to them. When he/she holds a Clan meeting, he/she yowls:"Let all those member old enough to catch their own prey join here for a Clan meeting!" The word of the leader is the warrior code. The leader is the one who appoints a new deputy, and he/she must do it before moonhigh on the day of the deputy's gone/exile/retire. If the deputy is gone, he/she must say:"I say these words before the body of [former deputy's name], so that his/her spirit may hear and approve it. [Name of new deputy] will be the new deputy of [name of Clan]." The leader leads that cats every full moon to the Gathering. The leader gives new names to apprentices and warriors. He/she is has nine lives, granted by StarClan. The lives come from nine deceased cats who had a special connection with the leader while they lived. The leader's name always end in "star".
Deputy: The deputy is second in command in the Clan. He/she takes over the Gathering if the leader is absent. He/she succeeds in the former leader when he/she loses his/her ninth life. The deputy oversees the training of apprentices, and gives them assessments to see if they are ready to be warriors. In order to be the deputy, he/she must have mentored at least one apprentice.
Medicine Cat: The medicine member takes care of his/her clanmates, checking up regulary to make sure no members is sick. The medicine member has the important role of interpreting signs, and are respected and beloved. A medicine member does not have to fight, but must be able to defend himself/herself. A medicine member stands apart from normal Clan rivalry, and they are not allowed to mate or to have kits. Medicine member gather every halfmoon at the Moonstone/Moonpool to share.
Warrior: A warrior must fight hard to protect his/her Clanmates in battle. Before they are made a warrior, they have to promise to an oath: to uphold the warrior code and to protect his/her Clanmates with their life. If they do, they will become a warrior. An apprentice becomes a warrior when their mentor thinks they are ready. Senior warriors (the older, more experienced ones) sleep in the centre of their den, where it is the warmest.
Apprentice: A kit must be six moons old before they can be apprenticed. The job of an apprentice is to change the elders' bedding, search the elders' pelts for ticks, and bring the elders fresh kill. The apprentice's mentor will show them what to do on hunting patrols and border patrols. An apprentice's name always end in "paw".
Kit: Kits are playful little bundles of fur. They mostly stay in the nursery until they are ready to be apprenticed. Their names end in "kit".
Queen: A queen is a warrior she-member who is expecting or nursing kits. The queens divide the job of taking care of kits equally, so that each queen has enough resting time.
Elders: Elders are former warriors and queens of the Clan, now retired. Elders have wonderful stories about the past, which apprentices enjoy hearing. The stories make their jobs more bearable. Elders are respected, and they can sometimes be grumpy and difficult
