She was silent for a while, just enjoying the sensation of Jay being this close to her, and then a thought popped into her head. "Err, Jay... You said your owner isn't too fond of other dogs. What does that mean for me? For us?"

Jays eyes suddenly widened with slight fear, "I.. I don't know.." He murmured.

She pondered for a moment "Well, how did he accept you?"

Jay thought for a moment, "He accepted me because I chased away from rabbits and squirrels that were eating his crop. It was fun though... Chasing the squirrels..." He chuckled.

Kitsune yawned and walked towards the forest and flopped down curling up.

"Maybe I could try the same thing." she said thoughtfully.

"Maybe... Or.." He gulped.. "This may sound a little weird... But umm..." He stammered, "He may let you if.. If you um.. Have umm.. P... Pu..." He stammered again. Taking another gulp, he finished the word, "pups.."

She was stunned into silence, not because the idea appalled her, but because she hadn't thought about it. "Jay, are you proposing that we- that you want to be mates?" she was a little afraid that he would say no.
