Skills and Abilities: Verena has considerably high physical strength for the average mind. Though among her group of demon hunters, is at an average-though closer to the higher end of the scale. Like all others, she trained in multiple weapons, and can handle most of them, however, unlike most of her kin, ended up sticking to a few specific weapons. Preferring long ranged ones, Verena primarily uses either a pistol or a crossbow. She often has small knives with her if she's not prepared or expecting a fight.
For intellectual talent, Verena can solve and think through certain considerable things, though always requires time. Even to remember something from the top of her head, the only thing Verena needs is time to think of it. She tends to think best in a quiet place, or while doing something repetitive. This becomes a problem when she's trying to hunt down demons, as most of the encounters are quick and require split second decisions.

Personality: Verena has about three different ways she could act or treat another. She was brought up in a rather isolated, and condensed world, and doesn't like to share anything. Having to be unable to trust people, or be able to confide in anyone, Verena tends to keep away from the world. Not saying that she's anti-social, but simply mentally closed.
When she does choose to confide in people, or while around the people she's more comfortable with, Verena actually becomes less outgoing, though certainly more entertaining to be around. At these times, she can come out to be a bit shy, and most certainly happier than she normally looks.
Appearance: Verena's appearance is greatly affected by her clothing choice. With her caramel brown hair, and eyes a few shades darker, Verena can be taken in with many different perspectives. Even though she's only slightly above average height, her build makes her seem taller than she really is.
Verena dresses in dull colours, though if she needs to look happy, may change up the hue slightly. Even then, not one piece of her clothing is made out of a single colour, and always has a collage of designs. When she is forced to change from her normal dress code, Verena will put primary colours as the last resort.
History: Verena comes from a demon hunter family with a rather diluted history. None of them had ever stood out, as consistent as the line was for centuries. With that, Verena is treated like any other, though has developed a unique reputation neither bad or good with the other hunters. She had often questioned why demon hunters hunted demons, it was something that was kept a secret. Though some demons had done some pretty gruesome things, she had seen plenty good ones as well.

Species: Demon
Appearance: Seijirou appears as an older teenager, about 18 years old, and has curly, darker brown hair and naturally red eyes, though he uses brown colored contacts to blend in with the humans. He is quite lean, and slightly shorter than many others his age, but his compact stature gives him a lot of flexibility and speed.

Personality: Seijirou, for the most part, blends into society. He is quiet, and a bit uncaring when it comes to the rest of the world. Instead of interfering with people's lives directly, he enjoys simply watching humans, as they are quite an amusing species. He will often come across as cold or uninterested, and sometimes even bitingly sarcastic, but that is because he is hesitant to get near many humans. Seijirou has a lot of acquaintances, but no real friends. He also has the tendency to change his personality to suit the need of whoever he meets, but he is never warm or open when it comes to new people. He is, however, fiercely loyal and protective. When challenged, Seijirou is not afraid to jump into fight; he actually enjoys picking a fight more than he probably should.

History: Seijirou has no memory of his early life. The only thing he remembers is waking up in an alley of a big city. Since that time, he has traveled from place to place, meeting many types of humans on his journey. His life span, being longer than a human's, forces him to change locations about every five years. No matter where he goes, he lives on the streets or in abandoned buildings. Over the years, he has become an excellent thief, making his living by pickpocketing individuals on the street, but he steals only what he needs for food and clothing.

Skills and Abilities: He is most notable for his extreme speed. Seijirou can move quickly enough to almost vanish from human sight, part of this ability is due to his demonic nature, the other part comes from the skills he as developed as a thief. He is also a skilled street fighter, another thing he learned from living in a few rough neighborhoods.
His actual demonic ability is control over darkness and shadows. He can turn a shadow into a physical object, or even a weapon, but the ability of solidification is difficult and he still has not mastered it. More often, he uses his power to vanish into the darkness, traveling through the city invisible to the human eye; however, even this can get a bit tricky. He would never say it aloud, but Seijirou is actually afraid of his own power.

Verena's jerked out of her bed, gasping for air. One of her camp leaders sat on the stool next to her bed. He had ruthlessly pinched her nose to get her to wake up. Unamused, Verena looked at the clock, she had overslept by a good 15 minutes. "Sorry," she muttered, waving him off. He raised an eyebrow, and left, gently shutting the door behind him.

Practically falling out of her bed, Verena went through her morning procedures, which was actually quite short. She combed her hair in less than 3 minutes, considering that she had to comb it before and after sleeping. Altogether, dressing, hair combing, brushing her teeth and gathering her hunting weapons took precisely 15 minutes.

Verena flew down the stairs, skipping the last flight as she dashed to find herself some breakfast to go. She quickly walked past one of her friends-who was making breakfast for everyone this morning. Verena forced a light smile, before grabbing a croissant, holding it in her mouth as she adjusted the quiver full of arrows at her side.

Beginning to warm up and stretch, Verena tried to read today's schedule at the same time. The group was extremely organized, nothing was ever out of place, and everyone was assigned a particular area each day. She set her finger on the poster, and read the address a couple of times before beginning to walk towards the car.

Sliding into the front seat, Verena started up the car, rubbing her cold fingers against her legs. Leaning back, she started to drive, hoping that she would remember the address long enough to be able to find it. Her memory wasn't known for being reliable.

The coldness of the cement ground finally roused Seijiro from his sleep. With a low groan, he sat up and pulled his coat around himself as he stared up at the gray sky. It was still early, but not too early to be up. Still, he wouldn't have minded a bit more sleep. Seijiro rubbed his eyes, shifting the brown contacts that hid his red irises. He had found over the years that sleeping with them in was easier than taking them out, but the consequence was waking up every morning with dry eyes.

Seijiro stood slowly and stretched as his stomach growled, reminding him that he had not had dinner the night before. Unfortunately for him, that meant an early morning of work. Seijiro ran his hand through his hair to straighten it out before he started down the street with his hands in his pockets. It was early, but not too early for the citizens to be out. Seijiro found his target immediately: an older woman with graying hair. He generally tried not to pick-pocket the elderly, but this morning he was a little more desperate than usual.

Seijiro moved quickly, positioning himself a few feet in front of her before he started moving purposefully in the other direction. As he'd done so many times, Seijiro bumped his shoulder into hers. "I'm really sorry ma'am!" he apologized immediately, as his hand darted into her purse, and stole the wallet inside. His other hand went to her shoulder to steady her, as if he were afraid she'd fall. "It's okay dear," she replied with a warm smile, a smile that made him feel a bit guilty. He only stole a few bills from the wallet before he placed it back into her purse.

Seijiro wished the woman a good day, and slipped out of sight. A few minutes later, he stopped on the side of the street to count the money he acquired. "Ten dollars huh?" he said, staring at the five bill and five ones. It wasn't much, but it was enough to get him through the day. With his hands still stuffed in his pockets, Seijiro headed to a cheap breakfast restaurant.

Verena casually flipped herself out of the car. She had parked herself in a dark alleyway. Everywhere she went, she always had to develop a improvisation of how she would conceal her weapons. In certain places, she could lurk the corners, and no one would even see her, others, she actually had to make sure they were well hidden. But it was still early, so she could probably pick up the patrol for a good hour before switching her equipment to something smaller.

The croissant had been finished long ago, but a single piece of bread didn't really satisfy Verena's stomach. She longed for something to eat, but she was on patrol, and sitting around and eating simply wasn't an option. Nor is running around and eating. Sighing inwardly, Verena shoved her hands in her pockets, and looked around for people before starting to walk around in random directions, senses alert for any demonic activity she may find.

Continuing to walk around the area, Verena wished that these were one of the days where she didn't find any demons. She barely killed half of them anyways, half of them seemed to constantly run off, not wanting to look for trouble. As for the ones that stuck around and tried to fight, Verena could only kill half of them anyways. The others always overpowered her.

Looking wistfully at a lonely breakfast restaurant from the corner of the alley, Verena wondered if it'd be worth it to go all the way back to the car, drop off her weapons, get a snack, then go back and fetch her equipment once more. Probably not. Realizing that she was becoming unfocused, Verena cringed slightly, her eyes searching the area quickly.

It took Seijiro only five minutes to walk to the restaurant in the corner of an alley. Despite the cheap prices, it had pretty good food, and at this point, Seijiro was a regular. The streets around this area were usually pretty quiet, so he was surprised to see a girl off in the distance. After studying her for a brief moment and labeling her as no threat, he turned back around and headed into the shop.

Though Seijiro frequented the shop in the mornings and it served breakfast, it's main purpose was a bar. He strode up to the bar, and plopped himself down in a high chair before calling, "Oi, old man, you here?" A gruff grunt greeted him, and the owner of the restaurant, a rather chubby man in his late sixties with very little hair, emerged from the back door. "Get me the usual," Seijiro said with a wave of his hand. Another grunt of compliance came from the older man, and Seijiro shoved the money across the table.

The food was ready within a few minutes, and he dug into the scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The two carried on a light conversation when Seijiro's mouth wasn't quite so full, but it mainly consisted of 'How have you been?' 'Fine. You?' 'Good.' Seijiro enjoyed the part of his life that was normal. In some ways it was refreshing, but he even knew that he was a troublemaker, and a quiet life would do nothing but bore him. Shaking the thoughts from his head, Seijiro returned to devouring his food.

Verena just stood around for a while, looking around from the corner she stood in. Deciding she'd take a look inside the restaurant, she tucked her crossbow away under a pile of straw, and stuck a few arrows into the inside of her jacket. Verena might be able to find use of them. Then, she slipped off the quiver, and putting it with the crossbow. Stretching from the lighter load she had to carry, Verena went to 'patrol' the restaurant.

The thought of 'patrolling' left her mind as soon as she saw a boy a distance away. Verena marked him as seemingly human, since she had heard that demons could spot a demon hunter from a mile away. But then, Verena didn't normally put her weapons down to stop for a snack. Though he did look at her for too long, which sparked her suspicion. Until Verena realized that she herself had been staring for far too long as well.

Starting to piece together the possibilities, Verena started heading into the restaurant after him. He looked near 18, possibly 19. So he'd either be in college, unoccupied, or high school. All three gave him the option of getting breakfast at a restaurant early in the morning. Verena was still suspicious, and cringed when she realized she had been staring at him eat, her mouth half open for a while now.

Seijiro discreetly glanced around, looking at the girl he'd noticed earlier. He could feel her eyes on his back, but he hesitated to face. Instead, he turned around just enough to see her watching him. He was halfway through his breakfast, and truly hoped to finish it before she decided to come at him. He could tell immediately that she was a hunter. They all carried a specific, and strong scent, as if the blood of those they'd killed lingered on their skin.

She didn't seem much like a threat, he noted. He couldn't see any visible weapons, though he know that meant nothing. They were all pretty sly when it came hiding in a normal society. Seijirou couldn't tell what she was thinking as she stared at him with her mouth slightly agape. Finally, he could stand it no longer and turned around to face her directly. "Is there something you wanted?" he demanded coldly.

Seijiro had already taken the opportunity to assess the surroundings. Escape was possible, if it came to that, but he would prefer not to cause a ruckus in the old man's shop unless he had to. As far as he knew, the owner was just a normal human, and he didn't deserve to have his shop wrecked in a fight between a hunter and himself. "Well?" he prompted.
