Cody shook his head, "I suppose you can't." he grabbed the food from her bed and placed it on her desk, then returned to her.

Shady eyed him in a bit of a suspicious way, then giggled. "Okay, fine. If you really want to know. I truly don't remember much of how you tasted...but sweet. It was a plain taste, like one you can't really tell. It's like a ringing you get in your ear—you can't describe it. Almost like sugar.
You are different from Caleb, because he's...he's almost minty. But you can't have such a taste if you don't eat such things, or anything at all. "

[Startedraining]

"I tasted sweet?" Cody asked, "Sweet, but I've not eaten anything sweet."

Shady was struggling to explain. "I think everyone tastes like that, Cody. But...it's indescribable. So maybe it isn't sweet, I don't know. It doesn't taste like, well, much of anything. It's like a white sound, or the song at the back of your head. I think I know what it was, but I don't. "

Cody frowned and looked at the ceiling. A white sound? Was that what he was? He shook his head, rubbing Shady's hand with his own.

Shady sighed deeply and hugged Cody from the side, burying her face into his chest. "Im glad to be back..." She mumbled, relaxing into the bed. She had not realized how tired she was until now, but she needed to see Caleb. He wanted to talk to him about what happened.

Cody held her close to him, closing his eyes, feeling as though they were heavy. Was this tired? Was he feeling tired?

Shady looked up at him, and she noticed his sudden tiredness. "Cody, you're never tired..." She let her voice trail off, but couldn't help the slight smile that crept onto her face. He was becoming human, slowly but surely.

"I'm not tired," he mumbled, nuzzling the crook of Shady's neck, squeezing his eyes closed.

Shady just smiled and said, "You sure?" as she ran a hand through his thick hair. "Your hair never grows. It's always the same. " she murmured.
