Soft white paws walked uphill beside a bubbling stream that acted as the border of Emberclan territory, followed by other several ones. The pale tom moved in a rhythmic pace, neither sluggish or rushed. Owlheart would pause once in a while near small trees or bushes to rub his scent against them, reminding rogues of how strong Emberclan's scent was. The bark and dew stained his fur, but he didn't mind. Being a warrior of the wild, he had other things to worry about instead of himself. His large orange ears swiveled to the left and to the right, double checking the area, before moving on back towards camp.
"We'll wrap things up for today," Owlheart mewed to the patrol group, trying his best to not let his timidness waver his voice as he spoke up. Luckily the others didn't seem to notice and just nodded back at him with the sun setting behind their backs. Owlheart turned away from them back towards the path they were taking and heaved a silent sigh. Talking to others take a lot out of him than checking the borders all day.
Silence passed over the patrol once more until they finally reached the clearing of Emberclan camp. Apprentices and other warriors greeted them with friendly faces, but Owlheart took this opportunity to slip away. Somehow, a big cluster of cats agitated him, something that shouldn't bother him as a warrior in a clan. I shouldn't be like this, he scolded himself as he groomed his shoulder to calm his nerves.
