Does anyone knit?(Or crochet?)

Just wondering if anyone else on Eldemore knits..

If so, what project are you working on now? What's your favourite project to date? Do you work from patterns, or do you make things up as you go along? How often do you knit? (Or crochet?)

If not, would you like to learn how? Knitting is really fun, and I can encourage you along if you need motivation!

Someone soon will be teaching me how to knit, but for now I just crochet.

I like doing shapes and granny squares for blankets when I crochet. I don't favor making toys or figurines because they are more complicated. Eh. xP

I crochet! I'm also in the process of learning how to knit (can't decide on a project just yet as all the easy pretty stuff is with circular kneedles :< )

I mostly do amigurumi, almost always from patterns, which are almost always free patterns haha (exception being the GoT dragon pattern that has movable wings and is just aaahhh).
I have been crocheting a bit less though recently, well, ever since starting my job I've been finding little time. I need some light to crochet, and whenever I'm home, it's dark right now :/

I've got so many projects lying around also haha. I have one finished mitten that I wanted to redo for ages. A dragon which is almost complete, but I'm too lazy to put it all together. I'm also working on a mermaid blanket with cheap pink and blue yarn. And then a gazillion projects whirling in my head that I must do some day. You know how that goes haha.

I did a fair bit of knitting last year, but i've gotten a bit bored/annoyed with it at the moment and so i prefer doing my sowing stuff these days.
I've made a few little projects from books, mostly animal related things.

I did try learning to crochet, but it just refuses to sink in, lol.

And by knit I mean I made very very long scarves XD
And by crochet I mean I made a very, very, very long single strand of stitches.

I could never figure out what to do after the initial few steps so I just kept going and going.

I really wish I could crochet little animals though. There are some super cute crochet hedgehogs out there.

I used to be like that with crochet haha. I got a little kit to learn to crochet animals, but it's way better to learn with youtube! You cannot believe how many videos there are to learn!

I bought the Scheepjes CAL kit from 2016, so excited! I never worked with scheepjes yarn before, but I've heardso much good about it.
I also got a big ball to finally make the southbay/elise shawl!

Honestly I used to crochet. I could just never get the hang of knitting! Dropped stitches everywhere.

Mostly I did basic crochet, like potholders. I could make handles for them though.
I have wanted to get back into it, but I have just been super busy with classes.

I crochet! Or at least I used to... I've been trying to finish a blanket for years now, and now I don't have the time to work on it.

I have never done either of these, but they are definitely something I would like to learn in the future. My cousin has been making some really cute hats and she told me she would teach me. It just sounds like a really relaxing hobby.
