oh! I've had my pretty girl Izalla for nearly 6 months now.
She is most pretty green Iguana you ever lay eyes upon.
though she is still young she is just cresting over the 40 cm mark, a little big for age, but steady growth is good no?

I adopted her from University, apparently 2 lab iguanas had a fun night together and laid eggs. lol
Izalla is good girl, gets along with roommates cat and rats, though she could most likely eat the rats since they are only just over month old. lol

Actually iguanas are omnivores. They love the occasional earthworm and cricket. And if they're big enough they love pinkie mice.

They're not omnivores, and the captive kept should be strictly herbs. They occasionally accept meat but the animal proteins are in no way good for them, I could get into more of the scientific study and research done but I'm on mobile and frankly don't have too much time right now, lol.

what is your favorite python morph?
i can't choose a favourite! right now i'm really into calicos and mojaves, mainly because they're more in my price range. though i absolutely love super black pastels and black axanthics. dark morphs are awesome.

what kind of reptiles do you own?
just my little normal royal python, nyoka.

      what is your dream reptile?
i would love to one day own a reticulated python. even one of the miniature ones would be amazing. they're gorgeous.

did you get your reptile from a breeder or a pet store?
neither. i got my little guy from a specialist exotics store - they sell all sorts of exotic reptiles. but don't worry, they're all well cared for! you can tell the people who own the shop are really passionate about their animals. i wouldn't have even thought about buying from them unless i was 100% sure of that. that shop is one of my favourite places! i want to get a job there, in a year or two.

      . . .

i would really love to get into reptile breeding in a few years. at first i was thinking about breeding royals, because morphs are fun, but something i read inspired me to want to do something different - basically, try and get hold of some hard-to-get reptile species and breed them, so that less have to be caught from the wild (and i have an excuse to own a bunch of different species!). it sounds really fun, and i'd feel good about doing it. dream occupation: found! :D

what is your favorite python morph?
The ball python is just cute, especially in pictures where it is all curled up ^-^

what kind of reptiles do you own?
I used to own Blue Bellied Lizards and Alligator Lizards (not alligator alligators)!! I liked how ornery the allies were though for such a small size. As babies, the allies hissed at me at first and acted like they could take me down even though they were about the size of my finger XD
Dragon tried deathrolling my finger when I picked her up the first time but it didn't work, lol
They no longer did that though once they got used to being handled.

what is your dream reptile?
A Blue Tongued Skink!! They look so similar to allies but bigger, and with shorter tails. Plus from what I have read they are more tolerant of people unlike most lizards and they are very cute!!

did you get your reptile from a breeder or a pet store?
From my upstairs neighbor, he bred hers and I got to pick out a couple babies. Most of them she releases into the wild to help their populations out(they are native where I used to live).

Are ball pythons hardy enough to withstand, say, five foot drops onto carpet? Fitz fell off my shoulder earlier, and while he looks ok, I just wanted to check. He's a nine-month-old ball python.

I've dropped my snake a few times and he's a full grown 1,090Gram male ball python.
They are pretty durable. If he fell on carpet I'm sure he's fine, if he fell on stone, tile, concrete, then just keep an eye out. If he broke a rib or two it also won't cause much damage, but he will sleep a lot.

Anyways I'm sure he's fine, babies are the most tough, and the most clumsy.
