No, no - it's a book I'm reading. XP Sorry if that wasn't clear. It just made me think about how the word 'bemused' is used. I love the word, but I don't use it nearly as much as this as this author does.

Anyway - back on topic - anyone writing anything? Think you'll use the word 'bemused' anytime soon? XP

I actually wrote a small poem earlier. Here lemme pull it up.

One day, I'll pray to be more than what I am now
And one day I'll find that the stars will align in a perfect arch over me
And the sky will bring forth newer possibilities,
So I can be more than I am now.

One day, I'll pray that my mark is left on this planet.
And a lot of people agree this is to be
Because, really, I want to be known as something great,
As something more than I am.

One day, I'll pray that my fears melt away
And until that day I will take steps forward and breathe new air
The only thing that I can do while I work on me and you work on you
Is be what I am.

I'm not QUITE satisfied, but it'll have to do for now ~

@StartedRaining I really like your use of repetition! The way you phrased "one day" followed by your descriptions give the poem a very hopeful, almost ethereal feel. I love your descriptions as well!

This reminds me of Clexa from the 1OO and the feels, right now... ;A;

I am writing school essays! Does that count? XD

After school gets out though, I'm going to finish the Eld Fanfic I started way too long ago and then work on some of my other projects for fun. ^^

And the poem is wonderful! I especially love the last two lines:

The only thing that I can do while I work on me and you work on you
Is be what I am.

I think part of what catches my attention here is the rhyming of "do" and "you" within the second to last line. It also seems to have a musical-sounding pattern to the inflection. And then the nice short phase wraps it up quickly and nicely. ^^

In my poetry I was never very good at doin hard rhymes or rhythm (like fool and school, and the classic William Shakespeare sonnets with the rhythm.)
And this time I tried to just throw in a rhyme wherever I could, so it flowed in your mind better?

I don't think you necessarily have to focus on rhyming, but if it naturally comes up, then use it. As far as rhythm goes, there is such a massive range that it can work at. Language naturally has a rhythm and maybe in writing poetry, the goal is to capture it? I'm not super familiar with poetry really, and I know practically nothing about freestyle, so I could be way off the mark there.

It did flow in my mind better, but like I said, the whole poem is really good!

I have an interactive comic in work
Its about a young boy, not quite a child, not quite an adult who's still suffering from the death of his sister, the only person who's understood him. He's mute. Anyways, it basically follows his life and the choices you make and how those choices shape him.

I have four plotlines in total. Each plotline occurs in the same universe, but each one is years apart and take place on different continents. My most well devised one is several years old and has had the plotline reshapen many times. I hate reading romance, but it always has a place in my storylines, I don't know why. I feel kinda awkward about posting any of my stuff here... or anywhere to be honest though I generally send stuff to one of my best friends (Who also writes.)

My first storyline is based in a 'religious' cult/group this basically has influence over death. The second is about high families and a revolution within them and is basically me making fun of modern day issues. The first is about uh... how else can I say this? A worker of sorts (I don't know if I should say merely due to what the actual role is.) and a soldier who try to prevent a war and the last is about two rival groups fighting for control of the underground. The one I've worked on most is the second one, but I'm currently trying to focus on my third and fourth ones as they are the ones that need the most amount of work.

I currently have an obsession with one of my characters... He's basically that one antagonist that should have never been put as an antagonist. From any other perspective he would have been the protagonist. I feel bad.
