I've been in and out of Howrse so much. It seems like the games are set up so that if you don't spend some money for passes you'll never beat them. Either that or you have to time everything just so that you don't miss a turn. lol though do enjoy some of the games =)

Oh of course. It's been that way for years now. Howrse just wants people to give them money. As far as i am aware all the events are completely impossible to complete without spending either passes or diamonds. So you either need to buy passes, sell stuff for passes (which is great for people who have valuable stuff, but not so much for people who don't) or have tons of Divines/Wilds/Whatevers producing a ton of Diamonds for you.
And yeah, some of the events are pretty great, but some of them are awful! xD

Oh baring the lottery of course. I have actually won a Divine and 5 passes from that over the years, while only doing the friends tickets, winning comps, previous lotteries and by buying a couple with equus. So no passes/diamonds used there. Probably the best event actually.

Yesterday i bought a lovely blupped 2423.32 GP purebred Akhal-Teke mare on UK for 850k. xD
She had Tears/Wand and was already bred to a nice blupped 2444.41 GP Stallion.

She threw gorgeous twin fillies, one of whom i have kept as a filly and tricked out with almost every BMI available, the other i have bolted and given a Harmony Pack.

I found another gorgeous GA coat while i was looking for one for him, but the only think is i don't have a horse with the right colour coat to match it. As i like matching the GA coat colour to the horses actual colour. I could buy one in the PS, but the only decent ones available are Uni Fails for 500e and one pass. xD

What are you looking for in a foal for the GA coat?

An Appaloosa or Knabstrupper with the Palomino Spotted Blanket coat. Decent GP and inborns preferred. I do have passes to get the foal i saw, but spending a pass on a Uni Fail just for a nice GA coat.... But it was a really nice coat, lol. The foal i saw was miles ahead GP wise of the other ones, not counting the other Uni fails for 500e and a pass.

I just changed the scale for the skill display too, from 200 to 500. I got so used to horses that had their skills to the top of the display being awesome and now all horses look a bit rubbish, lol. Need to relearn that one.

It's what the skills a horse is born with are called. Inborn skills, or just inborns. Or at least that is what they were called. Not sure if it's still a term used anymore though.

As of currently, not really as I like to keep my friend list small and personal, but I'm always open to join Rps that y'all may be running in your EQs. ^^

I'm not much into the breeding as I use to, but I'll still breed Marwaris and Akhal-Tekes now and then, I also love to breed Unicorns(Mustang, Lusitano, Paint Horse, Marwari, Thoroughbred, & Akhal-Teke breeds).
How I play more or less is I breed high GPs and collect GAs/RCs(I most collect GA coats nowadays), that's pretty much what all I do. ^^ I am open to breed my boys if you request, except for the Drafts, I'm still working with those. And as of the moment, if I don't have any horses for sell then nothing is for sell. Just wanted to state that now. ^^;
