❦ After spending so much time outside in the humidity, you were grateful to finally be inside the coolness of the comfortable home. As you walk with the owner down dim halls decorated in randomness and no matching furniture, you wonder what else there was to show, especially after all you've seen already. It was then, without any warning, it feel something brush over your head and fall into temporary shade. Looking to the source, you stare in numb awe of the beauty beast walking past. Fur a lightish brown, long and soft to the touch with wings folded at its back, sporting bird-like legs and talons that looked both sharp and dull at the same time. Tail and antlers adorn with fresh cherry blossoms, but most of all, you couldn't help but stiffen when the masked face of the creature slowly looked to you. Observing, silently judging you before losing interest and proceeding to walk ahead with purpose. Wherever it was heading, you seemed to be going as well. Unbeknownst, you are suddenly aware of new noises entering your ears, a plethora of sounds, so much so you couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. All that you knew, whatever is was, it was a lot of them.
Rounding the corner, you falter for just a second before continuing at a decent pace, staring wide at the scene before you. It looked like a large ballroom, or well, use to but now it was dressed up and decked out with all sorts of toys, fluffy furniture, and vibrant decorations hanging from the walls and ceiling. But that's not the only thing that occupied the spaces.
