Hello everyone, I just wanted to inform our community of upcoming event dates, site update progress, and the new creatures that can be found in the bazaar!
Eldemore's All Hallows' Eve Event!
Our first bit of info is our upcoming Halloween event for our site next month-- Last year we celebrated it in the Flickering Vales, but this year we wish to keep with the story you've all been starting to experience and have a new location planned for you to explore. You can look forward to this taking place from October 25th to Halloween night on October 31st.
New Bazaar Pet Adopts
As some of you may have noticed, we have a new Bazaar-only pet! The Prong Foxes are here to stay for a total of three months throughout the year and are priced at a lower bauble count to help users get some cheaper rare pets while also contributing to Eld in the process. This is due to our recent poll that many of you participated in suggesting that you guys wished to see a new Bazaar pet of varying colors. We still plan to implement more ideas from that poll, but for now, here is the first step we've decided to take. The Prong Foxes are a design-based only pet, so no line edits shall be used and hopefully with them being out for three months will give you guys a chance to trade or purchase baubles at your leisure for these.
Legacy Pets
Some of you may have noticed our new and first bred Rune Dragons! These pets are called 'Legacy Pets' since they display a linage of two designs bred by an artist. You can tell them by the 'Legacy - II' on the pet image (Legacy - III, Legacy - IV, and so on). These pets are a bit different in the fact that they will be much rarer than normal adopts. What this means is that you will be given fewer, and one or more are going to be very hard to obtain. We want Legacy bred pets to be rare and unique, so while bred pets will not be an often occurrence, it should be something to look forward to since they will all be quite special in the end~
Site Update Progress
Bastion's Heart, or as some of you call it 'The Cave', is still a work in progress since we decided to go back and add some new features that will help with keeping a steady economy/pet rarity and also help earn more chances at obtaining pets from this location. We do not have a specific date for when this will be done but we hope it is soon.
We also have a large update that is almost completed that will be helping to get monthly adoptions up quicker for new months and give the Bazaar and Adopts Page a new and more efficient look. The whole adoptions system in general was designed when we first started a year ago, and has seldom received an update. The adoptions page, as well as Codex information has to be hard coded with all of the new pets in a process that may take from eight to sixteen hours to do. This slow and inefficient system often leads to us being late for new releases, but hopefully this will soon be rectified with our upcoming update. We will soon have automatic rollovers that will make adopts always be on time and also make it easier on us to put all these pets in. This shall be fixed and implemented before October.
