I'm having trouble getting invested in Eld. Any suggestions?

a good an common way to get it over Elde is looking into the old past events and reading Elde's storyline. Getting to know the NPCs is also one of the things that comes with reason the events.

You could also create your own characters and form bonds with specific pets that cater to the needs of your character. Canon or paracanon, nothing is really off limits. You could also use those characters to role play or write fan fiction.

If you want just sit back and collect the pets, there's hundreds if not thousands to choose from, collecting and hoarding is a really large community here. (My hoard of drakes is creeping up on 7 thousand!)

If none of those seem interesting to you, you could make friends on the forum with games! ^w^

I second Star's suggestion of the forum games as an easy way to find yourself more invested in the site! The forum games are generally built to be fairly self-explanatory, without much context or follow-up needed inherently. Once you find some that you like, playing in your spare time is lots of fun!

Personally, I recommend hanging around at least until the next event. It wasn't until I experienced my first event that I really became invested and I've been here ever since. Back then it was mainly just collecting tokens and turning them in, and watching and commenting on the event thread with everyone else, but it was a lot of fun and really helped get me involved in the community. <3 It was also the start of my very first hoard.

Using the Eldsonas tab and lore to create characters also really helps get a person invested if that's something that wold interest you. ^-^
