my mother language is Estonian, but I have studied English and Russian in school.
both are required to learn at school here, in Estonia.
although some schools let students choose whether they want to learn German or Russian,
sadly in my school I wasn't able to choose, since it was a small school and there were no German teachers.
I would have preferred to learn German, seems a lot more interesting. ; _ ;
Russian was extremely difficult to me.
it's been a couple of years since I graduated that school and ever since I haven't had to learn Russian anymore,
which is great, I was never good at this and now I barely remember anything now.
I learned Russian for about 4 years.
but unlike with English, I've learned this for longer, about 7 or 8 years.
and I picked up that language pretty fast, it's a lot easier.
I'm still, obviously, not the best in that, but as long as other people understand what I'm trying to say, it's fine. :>
